Why would he give up his outrageous salary with no one holding his feet to the fire? I expect 10 more years of total sh!t and he leaves when he wants because we gave him a lifetime guarantee because he won the fiesta bowl.

there’s not one person on here that would be worse than Dickey or Dunn. In fact I would argue most would be better because they would give Gordon the ball more than 3 times a game. How could I be a worse oline coach than Charlie Dickey. The line literally blocks no one. The only thing embarrassing is the product on the field.

I told my 3 year daughter that she could do a better job randomly throwing darts at a board for playcalls than allowing Dunn to continue.

I literally believe this to be true

Justin wright was hurt in the first game. Hence him not doing any thing. And correct, dom fits the baylor scheme. Not ours, so what did we lose by him leaving? Nothing, unless you change coaches. If Dunn and Dickey were canned they wouldn’t have lost everyone they lost. They brought players in, they didn’t just do nothing. The problem is they have the same terrible coaches. They wouldn’t be any better if we had the exact same roster as last year, with the exception of maybe sanders. Nothing involved with the portal changes the fact the line can’t block. Those guys are the same 5 as last year. And as I’ve said before there’s not a human or team on this planet that would be successful behind this line. I guess I don’t understand where you think they got worse due to losing guys to the portal. Specifically offensively? Because by far the biggest problem is the offensive line and that unit is the same.
 
I mean the absolute epitome of Dunn and Dickey is the 3rd and 13 play where we threw a pass to Gordon in the flat 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. That was legitimately the designed play. And the line couldn’t even block for 2 seconds without holding. The pass was no where close which didn’t matter because he might have gotten 3 yards. Not to mention 2nd and 20 early in the game we ran a crossing pattern that was caught literally at the line of scrimmage resulting in 3rd and 20.
 
Unacceptable...This was not a CMU upset where things just didn't bounce your way...that was getting your ass kicked by a Sun Belt team at home. The program has been built to a point where this should not happen.

Why the hell are we not getting the ball to BP and Ollie? The best players on the field. I don't even know if they got 10 touches between the both of them.

QBs went 16 for 35. Woof. You have to pick one and go.

I am sick to death of bad OL play and lack of creativity on O. I don't remember the last time we had good protection. I am out on Dickey and Dunn.

Those players were leaving whether those coaches stayed or left. As long as Gundy is there, the scheme isn't changing a damn thing....which firing Dunn or Dickey wouldn't mattered. We're going to be an zone run scheme until Gundy retires. I just don't understand what firing Dunn and Dickey would do?? Not a damn thing....Gundy will want to run his offense.

I mean firing Dickey you could bring someone In that might be able to teach someone to block or get better lineman. But the line has never been good under Dickey. I also never saw Gleason or yursich run these terrible plays. They ran some bad ones but at least threw the ball down the field. Dunn knows 5 yard out and halfback dive. I guess this is our punishment for thinking they were bad.

2012 osu is the defending big 12 champ. Should have been defending national champ. South Alabama starts a football program. 11 years later south Alabama runs osu out of their stadium. But it’s ok, gundy feels bad about it.

That's funny...and quite the reach. Sounds like you're hoping!! After Wickline was let go, we've been to Greg Adkins, Bob Connally, Josh Henson, and Dickey. Gundy hasn't had a decent OL coach since Wickline, but sure let's just firing Dickey and all is well!!

None are comparable to Dickey

Based on ypc alone.

Connelly 1 year and left for USC. Avg 3.5 ypc
Adkins 2 years fired for not being good. Avg 3.6 and 4.5 ypc
Henson 2 years left for A&M. Avg 4.6 and 4.8 ypc
Dickey 4 years avg 5.3, 4.1, 4.2, 3.4 ypc.

there’s only 1 coach on this this last the run game has gotten worse under. You can’t compare guys who leave on their own for better jobs to a guy who should be fired. Connelly was 1 year, not comparable but not as bad as last year. Adkins was fired for 4.5, basically a yard better than the year before. Henson by far the best. From 14-19 the run game based on yards per carry increased every year. Once dickey got his guys in here it has done nothing but fall off of a cliff. From 5.3 to 3.4. Adkins the only one that got fired on this list averaged a yard more per carry than Dickey did last year. Adkins increased the ypc year over year. Dickey has decreased the ypc year over year. So again all of those guys were better than Dickey. 1 got fired 2 left for better jobs.

In short. Dickey took a line that averaged 5.3 ypc and turned it into a line that averages 3.4 ypc.

3.5, 3.6, 4.5, 4.6, 4.8, 5.3 (dickeys first year, everyone else’s guys) 4.1(Dickey’s guys start coming in), 4.2, 3.4(all dickeys guys)

I would consider 4.5+ a decent oline. We were there until Dickey came in.

I literally can’t spell out how awful he is anymore.

Oh and as a side note, dunn started called plays in 2020. They year we went from 5.3 to 4.1 ypc.

Man.. Gundy ( and OSU) is getting roasted all over social media, and ESPN talking heads. And that's the nicest way way to describe the situation. He's getting hammered.
