He's done great things for the program, but he's mailing it in now--that much is obvious. We're wasting money and resources on a guy that has checked out at the worst possible time. First year of the new B12, and we're everyone's gimme. Does anyone really believe he's gong to make the changes necessary at this stage of his career to return the program to prominence? OSU has made him filthy rich and he'll soon have a statue, but I don't believe he's owed anything more. At this point, he's dragging the brand down. Next year will be more of the same or worse because we're losing everybody. I feel bad for the seniors and guys who've stuck it out. They deserve to finish their careers in a much better way than this.
Statue, you've got to be kidding, especially after this year. The only way a statue should be considered is if he steps down - retires.

Those 5th and 6th year players got their NIL money and got complacent. OL looks old and lethargic. Looks like they’ve been on a smoke break all since the offseason. Same with the DL.
If our OL was under a microscope like Bowman is (and he deserves it) people would be calling for Dickey's head to roll. They are unbelievably bad, and so weak, at least one gets manhandled on just about every play.

I thought we've been calling for him to be fired for a few years. I have been pissed every off-season since 2022 when it isn't announced.

If they are weak, isn’t that a reflection on Rob Glass?
No it’s recruiting non P4 linemen. The past few yrs we offer small town kids hoping to find a diamond in the rough. Kids with offers to Ft Hays, SE MOSt, etc. They send Robert Allen’s kid to offer all kids who meet a certain size requirement. It’s so bad. Coaches use to take vacations while they “recruited”. McEndoo took numerous trips to Colorado and would post mountain photos. Guess how many tight ends we’ve gotten from CO? He’s just like John Smith. Times have changed and he hasn’t. Time for us to make the change

I am curious about a list of linemen without any P4 offers besides OSU.

We were 12-1 in 2011, defeated #4 Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl, and were ranked 3rd in the country at the end of the season.

Case closed.
Why does this guy report that Bill was fired? For the record, I really liked Bill and thought he did good enough. But I also think Poke O masked short comings in the D.

I think a small amount of fans like us, who pay close attention, have been questioning him for a while, but most fans go after Dunn and Bowman (and they are not wrong)

Some. Yes they aren't the most talented like was pointed out, but the real mystery is that they weren't getting pushed around last year. and this year they are. Getting moved like they are usually means lack of strengthand technique.

Dickey has had success before, so I'm sure he can teach technique, etc. But none of them seem to know how to fix the situation.

I would say Gundy has gotten comfortable with Rob’s ability to make sub average lineman better by using strength training to overcome traditional linemen talent. IOW, Rob’s training makes up for deficiencies and without him the line would be awful.

The line is awful so, I'm not sure what to think.

In 2012, there was a definite drop off in the strength of the defense (Monken's offense too), and in a few games, gave up big points. The Pokes went 8-5. I read somewhere that Gundawg also thought Bill Young was too old for the job. I don't know if one great year + one mediocre year = getting fired.

Correct, Mike thought he couldn’t relate to the younger crowd and that it would seriously hurt recruiting!!! Just relaying what I heard from Johnny Barr at one of the Extreme camps back in 2014 since he used to be part of the football staff!!! 🤔
