2022-2023 Off-Season

Eagles - Jalen Hurts - great mobility / dual threat
Interesting example. Jalen Hurts transformed himself from a running quarterback to a mobile quarterback. He learned to use his feet to set up his passing game. It made him much more effective and turned him into a true NFL quarterback. All Jalen Hurts does is win football games.

Agreed, and a lot of that is him benefiting from great coaches. They understand his skill set, and leverage it perfect with the RPO. He also plays the game very intelligently. Seems like he's never pushing too much or playing outside of his control.

What also needs to be recognized with Hurts is that all this (coaching, scheme, etc...) wouldn't be nearly as effective as it has shown to be with just any dude. Yes, Hurts is intelligent and gifted, but I believe the biggest catalyst to his success is he is well known to be an incredibly hard worker. He puts in the time in the weight room and film room and has since college. For all the puff Alabama gets, I never understood how the coaching staff hasn't been scrutinized at all for failing to take advantage of his full potential.

1. Great coaches.
2. Him wanting to be better.
