Time to throw the house at UT

Bwahaha...whoever the one guy was that kept going on about Sweat and the other ut DL....Gundy finally gave him a sly smile and put it to rest. "They always have guys like that" he took it all the way back to Mack Brown. This is the type of thing that comes from everyone doubting Gundy's methods. He knows his job. It's about teaching his players to know what he knows. The reporter was trying to get Gundy to talk about unique ways of scheming ut DLs and he's like: "or...we could just block 'em". Is he the greatest ever, no. But he knows what he's doing. Sometimes the players just need a little time to catch up.

I really like what he said about Rucker...that he recognizes what he did wrong to get beat, doesn't let it phase him and gets back out there while giving confidence to the younger guys around him.

Also, the nugget about recruiting with the portal. Explains a lot about what was going on in the first 3 games. He is building a culture (aimed at portal guys) to make it known that what they say will happen for a recruit will happen: reps in spring, reps in Aug, reps in the early season to earn a spot on the field. That culture may pay off later as more of these kids thinking about greener pastures find out who is telling the truth and who is selling a line.
Was that the Pistols Firing guy, I think his name is Marshall? If so, I am surprised after the little confrontation between them in the press conference after the bowl game in Arizona last year that Gundy wasn’t flipping him the bird and sticking out his tongue at the same time!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Completion percentage is one of the most overlooked stats for QB's, especially at the college level. 65% seems to be the magic number for good. Anything above 68% is elite. AB has averaged 59.9% this year and Ewers has averaged 69.8% this year. In their only loss, Ewers was 84% completion, but the two picks drastically changed the game. In each of our losses, Bowman's completion rate was 50%, 47.9%, and 53%. The rest of the season, he averaged 63% AB has it in him, as he averaged 69.4% in his freshman year at Tech.

For reference, SS was 62.8, 62.8, 62.1 and 57.6 in his 4 years steering the ship for us. Mason Rudolph was 62.3, 63.4, and 65 in his 3 years. BWeeden was 66.9 and 72.3. ZRob was 60.4, 65, 59.8. No of the others were close to 65.

When he gets set, he seems to be on target, but he has a tendency to not get set.

Vegas says Pokes getting 14 with about 55 O/U. Prolly gotta get that many points to even out the money, but I’d bet my fishing pole on the Pokes +14.

Love the confidence! I think if we win, the Cotton Bowl would be where would we be headed against someone like say Penn State. If we lose my bet would be on the Pop-Tarts bowl against an ACC team(Say NC State or Notre Dame).
We're minimum locked into the Alamo Bowl aren't we, being at worst second in the Big 12 standings?

If we win then yes, it's the Fiesta and Cotton for us and the whorns (no idea how that would sort out).

Tied for second. Alamo could chose to take the Goons.

Well yeah Alamo could be an option too but just a prediction on the other haha. If Texas wins and some other things happen this weekend, they could land into the playoffs, then who knows where we will go?

Let us just get that W!:D

I have no problems with completely destroying texas, exposing them as frauds, and sending them to the sec, with their tails tucked between bevo's legs. I only hope that our coaching staff thinks and feels the same way. Our first offensive possession will tell a lot about this teams mindset, and how the game will go. We may not score the first time out; I just want to see aggressive, smart, no fear football.

We do not run HB dive. We run inside zone, outside zone (both with insert) and counter (both GT and GH). Just because you guys see “a run up the middle” for no gain a handful of times, does not mean to give up on our inside zone. The other team has a game plan and good players too. Ollie and the OL have proven time and time again, just keep at it and it will start hitting eventually.

Yep. Ollie best play I believe is the counter.
