Official Game Thread: Oklahoma State vs. Oregon

Here's what I'm the most pissed about:

My 13 year old son and I watched our team suffer the worst loss in over 110 years, lose its 10th in a row against FBS competition...meanwhile his friends are sending him pictures from College Gameday and tailgates with Trae Young. We were so bored we took naps in the 3q.

I had to go through that sh!t as a kid--and granted kids face much bigger challenges than that--but it was so cool that when he was younger he was proud to wear his orange but now it's become embarrassing again.

He doesn't even know that GIA can be a fun, loud arena; and he finds college baseball boring because they mostly just strikeout. Bragging about wrestling and golf doesn't really do it for a young teen.

All of this because the athletic department tolerates mediocrity and still functions under the good ol boy system like it's 1975.

Bring him to a wrestling match this year. It’ll be as exciting as anything you’ve seen in GIA! And we’ll win, a lot!

Bring by Myron Roderick!

Our fan base won’t pay these exorbitant prices to watch us lose.

I can promise you that we see a huge drop off in attendance over the next few years.

Gundy checked out last year and unfortunately he doesn’t seem 100% committed despite saying he is.

It’s disappointing for the fans and I don’t see a lot of hope going forward

Nope, our football program is toast!

Friend of mine is a prof in Eugene. They’ve got engaged donors beyond Knight, & a coach smart enough to know that the expectation is to compete for championships.

Mario Cristobal’s a fool for leaving there.
Lanning was a hard no for the coaching job at Alabama. He knows the landscape of college football.

Well at least we didn't lose to Army.
Talk about two programs that should’ve been… I was fortunate to enjoy osu football at its height. I knew our success probably wouldn’t last forever but never imagined us falling this bad. Esp if you had told me we would be bottom of the barrel of mountain west conf

Weiberg let OUT happen without having an inkling as to what was going on. That’s an indictment on both him and strum. Strum is gone, Weiberg needs to be next.

And if he was having difficultly raising money because of a problematic head coach, it is his job to remove that coach.
The buyout was too big. He couldn’t fire Gundy. OSU didn’t have the money. Now it’s much more manageable.

Wonder what turtle talk paint dry dialect Chad has to say?

donors? All he uses is Phil$ $$$
Granted, Uncle Phil has given the University of Oregon a lot to be proud of, Knight Library, Knight Law School, Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerated Science, Hayward Field (track and field' s best facitity in the USA), the MATT (basketball areana).... as well as all the support for baseball, golf, soccer, and oh yea, football. I'm sure I've missed a lot of what Uncle Phil has done for the U of O, and I'm very grateful for his support. But support at the U of O doesn't stop with Uncle Phil, other wealthy donors have made wonderful contributions to the U of O both academically and athletically.

Mario going to Miami was one of the best things to ever happen to the U of O. Mario will build a great offensive and defensive line and he'll lose his shot at a championship because he believes the only way to win is in the trenches. It's a character fault of his. Just watch... you'll see him blow critical wins in the trenches.

Learned nothing from the Travis Ford fiasco. Costs you more to drive it further into the ground and more fans away.

Regardless of who’s running it, our culture is Loyal and True to the individual coach, regardless of the cost to the program and fans, to the point that there’s no option but to move on. In this era that has to change.
