Probably because they wanted it done before weekend so Weiburg could get looking sooner for a HC if neededWhy did the BoR decide that we will know by 5 pm on a Friday? Isn’t that the time you announce firings?
If number 3 is true, then this is complete BS.
There is only so much a public university can do privately. There are laws and procedures to follow.Kinda on the BOR if they said this needs to happen today, but it gets drawn out. Alot of this seems like it needed to happen without becoming public knowledge.
This is why I hate social media, who knows if this legit or not? If it is, then whom ever let this out needs to have their mouth sewn shut and hands glued together. If not this ding donk needs the wwo shed. All of this needed to be confidential until a decision was made then an annoucement on what was what. Kind of makes the dumpster fire spread to the whole house! No clue if this is true, but it's interesting.

I don't know how you live your life but, I could piss away all his money in a weekend in Vegas (hookers - blow - gambling)We'll see IF he's let go if he pursues his buyout with intensity - I mean, he loves the university soooo much, it would only make sense to continue to go after them for 10's of millions when he's already earned more money than anyone could spend in 10 lifetimes.
Just wait. He'll go for that money. Loyalty be damned. I love watching hypocrisy in action.
You definitely have to take everything you read on social media with a grain of salt. It can be entertaining though. This is why I hate social media, who knows if this legit or not? Unless we have an absolute can't miss coaching hire I'm against firing Gundy.
Yes, I enjoy the entertainment at times but I don't like the black eye it feels we will be getting from this one. We will see...You definitely have to take everything you read on social media with a grain of salt. It can be entertaining though.
On the flip side, they could be looking at a great opportunity to make a lot of money coaching in a super weak conference with low fan expectations and little pressure to win championships with the potential to be there 20 years with relatively little effort. Some need to realize that coaches out there pay attention to the way things are handled. You’re sending a very bad message when you fire a guy who has done what Gundy has over the last 20 years. He's definitely made mistakes, been stubborn and made some bad choices but you have to give him the chance to make it right before taking this step. Just a complete shit show this has turned into.
I don’t disagree with this thought but I do doubt it.On the flip side, they could be looking at a great opportunity to make a lot of money coaching in a super weak conference with low fan expectations and little pressure to win championships with the potential to be there 20 years with relatively little effort.
