Gundy Not in Trouble….restructuring

"The special meeting began at 7:30 a.m. and immediately went into executive session, which media members were not allowed to be at. About 45 minutes later, Oklahoma State president Kayse Shrum, Ph.D. and athletic director Chad Weiberg walked into the room.

At 9:32, Shrum and Weiberg walked out of the room and down the hall of the student union with purpose. Both looked upset and walked quickly, not stopping for questions."

Not sure what them both walking out upset and quickly means for clue to what's coming.

Sounds like the possibility/reality of Gundy not being our coach next year is far more likely than any of us thought possible!

Prepare for some kind of warm and fuzzy sayonara from Gundy with a negotiated exit package. Then he goes into the restaurant business with Cale and rides off into the sunset! Then we begin our long ride on the coaching carousel, whilst dragging our butts on the carpet like a dog near last place for the foreseeable future! All our games are everyone else’s Homecoming game! Gundy sits in his new scaled down mansion grinning!
I would love to go to Stillwater and eat at a Mike Gundy restaurant on a Saturday while watching the Pokes relevant again on the big screen.

I mean, I guess you’ve gotta tweet something??? Talk about nebulous

Agreed. Based on comments he has made on his podcast, he still has sources from when he was in the media and is hearing info he cannot give specifics on yet.

Hmmm. I find that a bit hard to believe based upon what his buyout probably is. However, if that is the case, good for them. He needs to suffer some consequences for the sh!t show he has caused.

Everything is speculation at this point but I’ll tell you this, things better get figured out very quickly. This is in no way shape or form good for the look of Oklahoma State Football. The portal opens on Monday, signing day literally just took place, we do not have any coordinators and now this? I feel like this has been handled so poorly. Recruits and their families see this stuff, they read what people put out there. We’re not Ohio State or Alabama where our name alone will bring in whoever we want from a recruiting standpoint. We’re playing with fire right now.

Wow that is a crazy if true. Here is a theory. Maybe HCMG has been burning bridges and ticking people off for years, but he really was pretty much untouchable. Then this year, you have the comments he made about the fans combined with the 3-9 season and all of a sudden the BOR can do some things they may have wanted to do for a while.

My guess is they have at least some grounds for firing with cause that is part of their leave to get this restricted deal. If they acted on it though there would doubtless be a lawsuit. In reality it would probably mean a negotiated settlement for his exit.

We'll see IF he's let go if he pursues his buyout with intensity - I mean, he loves the university soooo much, it would only make sense to continue to go after them for 10's of millions when he's already earned more money than anyone could spend in 10 lifetimes.

Just wait. He'll go for that money. Loyalty be damned. I love watching hypocrisy in action.

He's not going to sit by and struggle to feed his family like the rest of you deadbeats.

You'd give up 25 mil after you got fired just to be nice?

Personnel issues are always ugly. You gotta let it play out. Lots of moving parts with attorneys involved.
