Both look good, we should be happy with whichever one wins the job. Each have their own strengths.

I'm hoping for a quarterback with an accurate arm. Interceptions and drive-killing incompletions have hurt this team many times in the past.

One week until game week, it'd be nice to see one guy getting all the reps in practice.
Alabama and Ohio State were able to name their starter - maybe that's a better strategy than waiting until we lose to South Alabama

We have two guys that are very similar and are both running the same offense so it’s not a big deal. In fact I bet we will see both of them throughout the season both due to situations and the ever present threat of injury.

I'll have to disagree. I think there's a reason you never see this in the NFL and very rarely in college (especially for successful teams). If one of them excels at something particular and you create a package for him, I'm good with that. But I think you need to establish the leader of the team and allow them to get into the flow of a game and take their lumps with their successes. And most importantly, get more of the reps! If you pick a guy and he fails, then you let the other guy see if he can go earn the spot.
We're most likely going to be an average team this year, and both of these guys have a lot of eligibility. I want to see an experienced starter, established leader of the team for Week 1 in 2026.

Also you can complain all you want, this is how it’s working out this year. I would also add that maybe we do have a starter figured out but why announce it?

A bunch of them when it’s the pre season, which is what OSU is in now, and if we are being honest the UTM game is really just pre season as well.
The only one that is really doing it this preseason is Indy. And that’s really only because they are in denial about Richardson. No NFL team wants to be in mid-August without a starter named.

Furthermore, what do the NFL teams rotating snaps to determine the starter have in common? They suck.
Even if there was a starter, would be smart not to name him.
Given one is more of a runner, may be a bit more room to rotate a bit. If Floras is starter, pretty easy to put Hejny in in short yardage situations, goal line situations, and situations where you want to run to kill clock. If Hejny is starter, not sure I see lots of room for Floras.

New Orleans is also doing it. The Giants have a three man QB camp going. I agree it’s not the norm, but it does happen in the NFL.
Cleveland is going to go with 4 QBs on their roster by the sound of it.

Yeah, the collection of New Orleans, NY Giants, Cleveland, Indianapolis et al is kinda the who's who of NFL franchises that are in somewhat self-induced QB Purgatory at the moment. I get what y'all are saying, but I can see where the "Name the starter now" crowd would be seeing this as proving their point...
Correct, those teams all suck.
Further, we hear again and again and again how important reps are, whether practice or live game action.
