OSU vs OU at Paycom Center

This is Lutzs’ first year people. With an entirely new roster minus two players. He is not going to work miracles in year one. He did the best he could with recruiting players when he was hired, he didn’t have a lot of time to recruit. This team does not have the talent to compete against good teams or in the Big12.

Does it suck to lose by 15, absolutely. Does it suck even more to lose to your rival like that? You bet. But things will get better. He has to build the program back.

Anyone who thought this team would be any better than just below average is not being realistic.

Love his tenacity. He is transparent. He shows he cares. He puts emotion into his pressers. He’s honest. He takes accountability. He is very intelligent. Big big fan! Going to take a few years to get some shooters in but love his aura on the sideline and in the interview room
Love the way he replies to the douche that tried to insinuate playing them was “too big of a moment.”

ChiChi is our only alpha shooter. Gotta find a #2 and 3. Everyone kinda waiting for the next guy. A 5th yr Senior should be a 15ppg guy. Still waiting on that to come to fruition nightly.

I still like this team and Lutz. Still think we’ll get to 15 wins give or take a couple on either side. We’ll win a couple we shouldn’t and struggle in a few (hoping bedlam was one of those).

This is a really strange roster. I like Avery but man he causes me to say “No” a lot. Can’t imagine being his coach. Lots of smiles with an equal number of “gosh dang it! Go in for Chi Chi.”

With Coach Lutz, it's not a matter of IF we'll be playing with the big boys at some point, but WHEN.

The homerism in me says that this will be next year. The hard-boiled part of my brain says two years from now.
Agree. We definitely have to be patient this year. Doesn't make Saturday excusable, though. OU is good, but not as good as we made them look. B

ut what I like is that when that happens, I know the head coach isn't going to tolerate it.

He sure didn’t mince his words in the post game presser.

He’s pretty direct.

We played a good team that played about as well as they can. We didn’t play very well at all.

That’s a recipe for what happened on Saturday night. The gap isn’t as big as the scoreboard or our fanbase would have you believe.
