We have offered a handful of guys from Elon and one LB from Grambling State. Some of their offers include:

Virginia
Cincinnati
North Carolina
Houston
Texas Tech
Cal
Miss St
Alabama
LSU
Louisville
Memphis
South Carolina
Ole Miss

Not being a smart a$$, just wanted to give you the info. The LB from Grambling State is big time. Will play in the NFL. If we land him, it would be big time and immediate impact for the defense.

Most everyone playing has some sort of agent now and every P4 program in the country knows who is probably going into the portal. We have people-probably GA's or someone like that-who spend a bunch of time watching tape on kids who we think will be available and who are on contact with players representatives to determine interest and if their is value in going after that player. A decade ago we were really good at finding lightly recruited players who fit our system while other teams were chasing stars and we as fans loved it. I'm guessing this is a similar strategy with some of our offers so far.

Also you have to remember it's still early in the portal window. Whoever you want to blame it on, it was a mistake to take so long replacing our coordinators. Now that we have that in place we should see more offers out to players that will fit their systems.

Probably. Just seems like after last year, there needs to be something to get fans excited and hopeful for next season. But when I look at coach hires and portal activity there's nothing there that screams we want to be big time.

3 years ago Gundy was on a podium announcing we have a brand... apparently that brand is 60 year old coaches that are mixed bag results as coordinators, HS recruiting classes in the mid 50s and so far a few decent offers and a bunch of also's in the portal. There's nothing exciting there.

I hate being negative about OSU football and generally am not, but it's pretty dark right now from my point of view.

I’m definitely gerberally on OSU football.

Kyle Cefalo was the OC at Utah State last season but was not retained by the new incoming HC. He played for Colorado before they left the Big XII. Utah State finished 7th in total offense, 24th in rushing offense, 22nd in passing offense, and 49th in scoring offense. He probably would have crawled to Stillwater for a chance to be an OC in the Big XII. But, he is going to Cal as their new WR coach.
