You ever nail her?I'm personally acquainted with Doug. He coached at GMC when I was a student there, and he married a girl that I went to school with. As such, I've kept up with his career.
I hope for good things for both his and OSU's sake.
Are you speaking of transfer portal offers? Not many (any?) of our offers have starting P4...
YesAre you speaking of transfer portal offers?

Not being a smart a$$, just wanted to give you the info. The LB from Grambling State is big time. Will play in the NFL. If we land him, it would be big time and immediate impact for the defense.

Probably. Just seems like after last year, there needs to be something to get fans excited and hopeful for next season. But when I look at coach hires and portal activity there's nothing there that screams we want to be big time. Most everyone playing has some sort of agent now and every P4 program in the country knows who is probably going into the portal. We have people-probably GA's or someone like that-who spend a bunch of time watching tape on kids who we think will be available and who are on contact with players representatives to determine interest and if their is value in going after that player. A decade ago we were really good at finding lightly recruited players who fit our system while other teams were chasing stars and we as fans loved it. I'm guessing this is a similar strategy with some of our offers so far.
Also you have to remember it's still early in the portal window. Whoever you want to blame it on, it was a mistake to take so long replacing our coordinators. Now that we have that in place we should see more offers out to players that will fit their systems.

3 years ago Gundy was on a podium announcing we have a brand... apparently that brand is 60 year old coaches that are mixed bag results as coordinators, HS recruiting classes in the mid 50s and so far a few decent offers and a bunch of also's in the portal. There's nothing exciting there.
I hate being negative about OSU football and geberally am not, but it's pretty dark right now from my point of view.
THE HOUSE THE HOUSE IS ON FIREGundy is burning the house down before he retires.
When new evidence is provided they change their minds. Good for them. This board cracks me up, the same people on here badmouthing Doug Meacham were the same ones wailing with weeping and gnashing of teeth when we failed to hire him as OC when he left to go to TCU.
And take the underI’ll wait to see what Vegas says for the odds.
Wrong forum. LolYou ever nail her?
