With as much experience as these two new coordinators have, I would hope he lessens his grip and allows more freedom for both sides of the ball.

From what I understand, he was the most hands-off he's ever been last year and we saw how that went.

I expect he'll let Grantham have almost total control of the D but it looks like he and Meacham have a specific plan for what they are trying to build on O. I think he will be involved in designing the O but you don't bring in 4 guys who've been OCs just to run your old system. I'm excited to see what it looks like.

And no, history doesn’t suggest that someone who oversaw that disaster will rebound successfully.

Most predictions I saw had us Utah or KSU favored above us to win the conference, KSU finished 8th and Utah 13th.
I don’t recall anyone predicting ASU to win 11 games, the conference and take Texas to the wire…or BYU to win 11 or CU to win 9. The preseason predictions were way off the mark.
