Gundy's probably going to make bold changes such getting rid of a couple of analysts and a GA or 2. That'll show'em.

The transfer portal isn’t open yet but players can still announce they are going to enter the portal on the first day at anytime

Pretty sure certain schools are already contacting other team's players they would like to enter the portal also.
True but the comment was the portal is open and we need to hurry up because of this. It isn't open yet and doesn't open for a week.

I imagine our next DC will be some guy from an NAIA school who is pioneering a radical 1-2-8 umbrella defense specifically designed to not give up 40+ yard plays.

I'd also say, that most people on here aren't clamoring for anything but coaches heads. Roster management really falls to the personnel department as we've discussed (Kenyatta/Bedford).
To me, the need/desire for immediate coaching moves is a bit old school in that regard. Perhaps I'm too optimistic, but devaluing coaching staff when it comes to recruiting is how I think the industry moves.
Totally makes sense given our lack of NIL budget and difficulty recruiting bigtime DL talent. But I think a 1-2-8 would still put too much pressure on the staff. I think we should try a 1-2-7 to save even more money.
Lets just get Chuck Norris to be the 1 in that configuration. We should be good then. I mean he is from OK.

Why? Signing day is not really even binding anymore.
My guess is that Chuck Norris would blow our NIL budget (if he even has remaining eligibility). We'll probably have to settle for a 2* from the Tulsa area.

All three flew in would be my guess. Only on rare occasion are the jets trucked in.
