Trump 47

Here is the full transcript (via @BrianStelter) of Kristen Welker’s interview with Donald Trump where he discusses a third term in office —

Welker: “Have you been presented with any potential plans that would allow you to serve a third term?”

Trump: “Well, there are plans. There are – not plans. There are, there are methods which you could do it, as you know.”

Julio Noriega is 54 years old, was born in Chicago, and is a U.S. citizen. On January 31, 2025, he was walking near the corner of Cermak Road and Harlem Avenue in Berwyn, Illinois, handing out his resume to local businesses. As he walked out of a Jiffy Lube, he was approached by ICE officers who grabbed and handcuffed him and put him into a van, without an opportunity to explain his citizenship. The officers drove Julio and others around for more than an hour before bringing him to an ICE processing center, where he remained, still handcuffed, for several more hours. All the while, Julio had a wallet containing identification that ICE had confiscated. The officers never showed Julio a warrant, and they did not ask him any questions to ascertain whether he was a noncitizen or a flight risk. After about 10 hours, ICE officers reviewed the contents of Julio’s wallet, realized he was a U.S. citizen, and released him with no money and no paperwork.

So American citizen was held in detention by ICE for 10 hours with no warrant or probable cause... while I'm not a lawyer, Im pretty sure that's quite illegal.

Can you file class action lawsuits against the US government for civil liberties violations? Since the people they are targeting are generally lower income and immigrants doubt many could afford the cost to bring any of this to court individually.

IMO class action would be the way to go. I feel like the courts wouldn't provide enough restitution for an attorney to take it pro-bono or contingency.

Not sure how accurate the totals are and they are mixing income to the government with income for economy, but I fully believe this administration is gonna cost the US huge money.

Do you understand and get it Now ??? MAGA has no regards for the Constitution and Trump is trying to become the next Putin

President Trump told NBC News on Sunday that he was “not joking” about the possibility of seeking a third presidential term, suggesting that there were “methods” to circumvent the two-term limit in the Constitution.

To keep that from happening Congress needs to turn Democrat on both sides in 2026. Meanwhile, a special election Tuesday for the House is being watched in a Republican Florida district, since at least one poll indicates the Democrat slightly ahead. If all Trump supported candidates lose on Tuesday, then it will be interesting to see if Trump thinks he and Musk better part company.

tRumpsters, what are you/they satisfied/unsatisfied with the job he is doing so far? immigration? economy? direction of country? prices of groceries? Ukraine? Middle East? are you in favor of a third term? womens rights? trans rights? dismantling of government departments and jobs?
I seriously want to know how you feel about these issues, because all I see is America going backwards...I suppose I can see how you might be happy with immigration, although some of the methods and results are appalling...the economy is not good...grocery prices are still high...Ukraine/Russia war rages on...as does the Middle East conflict...and a third term? wtf...womenś rights are going backwards...trans rights?...musk is unhinged...
besides the issues I brought up, what is good about his administration thus far?

So the GOP has a ticket that he can't run on, the House elects him speaker and then both the elected Pres and VP have to resign. Is there another way without constitutional amendment?

Editing to add.
Now anyone that dislikes Trump but would vote R normally has to worry that the GOP will pull a switch on them afterwards. More reason to vote against the MAGA party.

I'm not going to judge but 10am is way too early (or really really late) to be on the whisky.

It’s just what they do. Some are easily offended and/or upset…………..when it is done by someone not from their political side.

Oddly, most of the issues listed …immigration, direction of country, prices of groceries, Middle East, Ukraine, and women’s rights would be things those on the right could complain about during the previous administration.

I am easily offended and/or upset at what tRump is doing/trying to do to our country! It is honestly a $i!t$how right now, and a laughing stock of other countries...and so since ´most of the issues listed would be things those on the right could complain about during the previous administration´that means you don´t have an opinion/thought on them?! but you conveniently left off a couple of good ones; dismantling of government depts and jobs, the economy, and would you support a third term?
Since he promised lower grocery prices, (he doesn´t even mention this, except to say it will take time LOL), fix the economy (nope), tariffs (yep, that´s working out well so far), an end to the Ukraine War and Middle East Conflict on day one (still waiting) (oh wait, he would´ve ended it already if Zelensky wasn´t so greedy), womenś rights are an afterthought to him, immigration (again, he is doing what he promised - get all the bad criminals out - oh, wait, that´s not happening either), and then add in wanting to take over Greenland...smh...end DEI (except for his hires/appointees)...oh yeah, and let´s rewrite history...pardon me while I take another drink @Stillwaterman

anyways, feel free to say what he has done that you back/like etc.
