The incredible thing is despite clear and obvious sources stating that he was not correct and, as you said, it is pretty meaningless, he still simply cannot concede any point at all. Thanks for the advice. I actually don’t engage much with him. I’ll continue do what I’m doing though….reminding the rest of the board of his tactics of mischaracterize, deflect, deceive, and distract. I didn’t advocate for him to not be allowed to post, I just pointed out to the rest of the posters that they temporarily got taken in by his tactics. They have all the freedom in the world to continue with ultimately meaningless pedantry or return to the substantive discussion.

Binman’s posts are relevant to the discussion of what the Trump administration is actually doing.

Instead of buying or invading Greenland, we just throw a few billion in aid their way and, cool a base where we can screw with the Russians even more and mining access to some of the stuff we really want.

In fact I’ll bet his team makes it known behind the scenes to the people and countries they deal with. “Look he’s going to say publicly some real shit but here’s our actual plan.” We know he trolls. I don’t know why people respond to his obviously empty words.

I’m in no way implying that a lot of his words and actions aren’t dangerous. But he obviously says stuff to rile the left up and his negotiating tactics have always been to throw a fit to get the deal done.

I think you overestimate his intelligence with this. I think he says alot of stupid crap that's on his mind in the moment and it's up to his handlers to clean it up and convince him whatever he gets as a concession out of it is a win for him. A problem with this is he's getting really old and is saying more and more outlandish things.
