I’ve felt since last year he was the weakest option we have there. A more athletic third baseman may well have made the play on the throw from center.

He seems average at best. His footwork is what gets him in trouble. Instead of moving his feet to get in front of the ball he instead offers to backhand a lot of balls which makes fielding and throwing from third MUCH more difficult.

Agreed. Not to mention he is slow with everything he does. Slow bat, slow feet, slow reacting. And since his injury he pokes at everything. Doesn’t really swing.

At right on cue, he has one of the best swings he’s had in ages.
