Dunn and Nardo gone, per reports

Does it make sense that OSU would fire Gundy (let’s pretend some booster(s) could swing a buyout) two days after signing 17 players?

This. People need to learn about weiburg
Can you enlighten us on Weiberg? He comes across soft but did hire D.T. and replaced Boynton with Lutz. Great moves. If Weiberg was an aggressor in initiating the Coordinator firings then he scores even more points. Or was he instructed by others to make these moves today?

Guy on Reddit FOIA’d it apparently.
Not sure the Freedom of information act pertains to state level business…..but I’m certainly not stating that as fact nor is that’s a political post!!

The neighborhood seems to be relying on Reddit quite a bit. 😂

I’ve met Chad and had a lengthy conversation with him in the hospitality room at an OSU basketball game. He’s soft spoken but make no mistake, he’s extremely intelligent, articulate, and he is definitely a decisive leader. Every decision he makes has been beaten up and analyzed from all angles toward having the best long-term outcome for our athletic program. I would stay tuned and watch and I promise, everyone will be pleased when the dust settles over this reorganization!

Don’t disagree, but I think the bar’s a little higher now. A lot of equity has been lost.

The guys I know are decades long O Club members, not exactly fair weather by any definition. They know that other guys can have success too and question whether Gundy’s the right guy in this new era given his self admitted reluctance to change.

I only heard a snippet of Gundy’s recent comments, but they gave me the impression that he acknowledges he/Pokes With Purpose need to pay players to come to OSU to play football.

That said, not sure where I fall on OSU fan spectrum. Right now today I’m “Cool Hand Luke coming out the box the last time” I’m pretty exhausted from the Gundy Rollercoaster. If OSU moves on, good. I just hope OSU doesn’t get left behind in what I envision college football becoming. Ironically, right now I’m watching Ryan Leaf on Dan Patrick talking about college players [specifically WSU QB who may go to OU with Arbuckle] and make generational wealth in college.

If the decision makers think Gundy gives us the best chance for not getting left behind, I’m all in for that too. I’m Orange to The Bone. I’m not ever punching out.

In my quest last night to see if I could find his contract after GeorgiaPoke asked their question, I came upon a legal case from about 20 years ago that stated the contract was public record and had to be released upon request. Now if some person on Reddit can get it I have know clue. Maybe JDcowboy can give a more accurate opinion on this, if as the username suggest they have their juris doctorate. I did find several articles stating that other news organizations had received the contract under the freedom of information act. Just my rabbit while I went down last night. I even went and read the regents minutes from 2021 seeing if there was a copy in the minutes but could only find the vote and some concern on the timing of the vote from 2 regents

They’re generally public, that’s why you hear about items like country club memberships, vehicles, etc…

I said same thing to my Dad last night. There is no political capital or goodwill left, he burned all 20 years in one season and it wasn't just their performances.

He cannot miss on these next 2-3 hires or next season. He's got to win a bunch and win big. But he made this bed.

I read the comments too. People will interpret them differently, but there’s definitely a too little too late point of view to this.

He’s basically admitted that he hates the changes and fought them/was in denial for two years-while the rest of the sport was moving forward. It’s an entirely reasonable question to ask if this is the guy to steer things forward after failing to do so already.
People can be Orange to the Bone, or whatever cliche, and still question whether he has the vision needed in this landscape or if he’s a dinosaur from another generation of coaches. It’s also reasonable to question the things someone will say to save their azz & their $8m/year-fairly simple.
