Also competes in track and field. Holds several offers in track and field, including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, and Texas Tech.
Won the Nebraska Class A state championships as a junior in the 100 meters (10.54), long jump (23-5.5), and triple jump (50-3.5) in May 2022. Ran at least four junior 100-meter times faster than 10.60, including a 10.43. Eclipsed 24 feet a couple of times in the long jump, including a 24-6. Triple jumped 46+ several times, including the aforementioned 50-3.5 at state and a 48-0 district-winning effort.
Ran a 6.94 indoor 60, while long jumping 23-4.5 and triple jumping 47-4.5 during indoor competition.
Won the Nebraska Class A state title as a sophomore in the triple jump with a 46-0 in May 2021. Won bronze in the long jump with a 22-5.
 
If you go back and watch bedlam last year, he gave up on the first long TD by Sawchuck. It wasn’t just this year that these things were issues, it’s been every year it shows up on film.
Yes, it was every year but seemed to get worse every year though (could just be observation bias due to awareness though). I'm very curious if any of that was due to our staff enabling/allowing/accepting it or not. Seeing if and how he plays next year will give a hint there.

Anyone know if he was recommended to leave or if it was his idea?

There isn't a 7th grade coach that would allow that.

Then why was he still starting games after jogging around vs getting pulled?
That’s what he’s saying-it’s the old cliche that you’re either coaching it, allowing it to happen, or both.
It’s a results oriented business and it boils down to the 3 things above at the end of the day. It’s what defines the quality of a coach because it’s the only thing that matters.
