Honestly, he was not good. I'm not surprised. Even for depth, if we needed him out there again next year, I would prefer a younger guy with more potential get the snaps and experience.
Roberson was painfully slow out there, he got some good tackles mainly by being in the right place at the right time, which is a positive for him, but we almost certainly are finding more speeed and athleticism for that position in the portal. He would almost certainly fall down the depth chart. Would like to have him for that purpose but if he finds a spot he can start, that makes sense.

This seems like a positive. Got to assume based on the timing he was told there was no longer a spot. Probably needs to be at a Missouri State or something like that. He was far too slow, even as a backup to be playing here. I’ve been very pleased with what this defensive staff has been bringing in.

It’s being reported that ou is the likely landing spot for Roberson. Wow! I didn’t realize how bad it had gotten down there.
I saw he's visiting but yeah, he's not getting playing time there. If he does, man that program really is in trouble.
I understand picking up pieces here and there and several will be starters because our cupboard is baaare. My question is when you look at these top 4 teams their Lines are not just littered but solidified with NFL talent. We have NONE. Yes getting a couple borderline NFL skill guys is fun, but we HAVE to pour $2+M into our lines or it’s going to be same story different year.

That’s why those programs are “Blue Bloods” and always at the top. We simply don’t have that type of money/funding. It is what it is. Doesn’t mean we can’t have a successful program and compete for conference championships, etc. But expecting our NIL to start offering $1-$2 mil for multiple players each year is completely unrealistic and leads to false hope.
