I've been nothing but a staunch defender of Gundy. It's impossible to defend that travesty of a game. It's clear that Gundy needs to hire legit coordinators, instead of pee wee league coordinators. Recruiting has been a disaster ever since Yurcich left Stillwater.. and recruiting won't improve until Gundy hires coordinators with strong Texas ties. His current coordinators haven't landed a single target... they're having to settle with recruits that weren't even recruited.
Unless a miracle occurs, , Gundy's streak of 17 straight winning seasons will not extend to 18. The entire roster needs a overhaul Deion Sanders style. What a bummer and dumpster fire
edit: Dunn successfully recruited WR's in Texas while he was the WR coach. Ever since he was promoted to OC, his recruiting has been a disaster

I don’t hate gundy but I understand without pressure this was bound to happen. He has got lazy allowing pee wee league coaches like Dunn and Dickey to fly.

I will always be appreciative of what Gundy did for the program. He’s just lost his edge and doesn’t have that “I’m a man! I’m 40!” fire anymore. He’s comfortable and complacent.

Nah man, Gundy is the smartest guy in the room when it comes to coaching hires. He'll find someone no ones heard of at a small school in New England and it will be magical all the success we'll have.

Zac is going for NFL head coach and I can’t blame him one bit. Dude will be a coach in the league within 5 years and wouldn’t surprise me one but if he is a stud at it.

The NFL is a much better lifestyle as well. No recruiting, no dipshit college kids, no NIL and no NCAA. Just coaching ball.

What do you think is going to happen if we fire Dickey and Dunn? Our HC is going to raid some d2 school for new coaches and we will be in the same position next year. This problem starts at the top and there’s only one way to fix it, everything else is a Bandaid.
Here's a fun thought experiment...
Gundys buyout sits at $25mil which is a lot. But what ultimately coats you more in the long run? Paying to can him now, or the lost revenue from dwindling fan support and bowl appearances while we wait for that buyout to come down, only to have to try and rebuild afterwards?
