I couldn't even listen to more than a couple of minutes of his BS yesterday. This whole thing is just so stupid. The rates themselves, how they calculated them, what he expects to happen, etc. Just stupid. This is one of those instances that if anyone tells you different, then they are lying to you or they are stupid as well.
Because that's how they roll, assume that anyone who doesn't think exactly like them, all think exactly alike.

US does not have a climate that allows for the production of Coffee outside of a fraction of American Coffee Consumed made in Hawaii. All the Rest is imported from Columbia, Indonesia, and Brazil. Indonesia was slapped with a 32% tariff rate.

We live in a post-truth reality. Politicians used to lie in campaigns and sort of lie or stretch the truth vaguely even after elected. But, now, the government simply lies about all, even lies that are easily refuted. They know that their base will not do even the most basic fact-check so the lies benefit them. The base will just be excited to be told something they like.
Anyone who behaves like my description. It comes from both sides. JMO of course.

Honestly, I don't think anyone that posts on this board is in the MAGA cult (GGP seems to have disappeared, and he was the closest by far).
I do think the conservatives defend the parts of MAGA they like and turn a blind eye to some shockingly bad things or comment that everyone else is overly paranoid as Trump 'just says stuff.' Which is partially true, but if Biden had actually said things like they claimed about him, such as "I want open borders and a socialist society" they would have freaked TF out. But, their expectation is that Trump should be able to say anything, and we should look for the good he does and ignore (or vaguely comment and ignore) the bad.

DETROIT (Reuters) - Stellantis NV, maker of Ram trucks and Jeeps, said on Thursday it was temporarily laying off 900 workers at five U.S. facilities after President Donald Trump's tariffs were announced, and temporarily pausing production at an assembly plant in Mexico and in Canada.
The U.S. plants affected are powertrain and stamping facilities. Stellantis' Windsor Assembly, where the Chrysler Pacifica minivan and Dodge Charger Daytona are made, will be down for two weeks while Toluca Assembly, where the Jeep Compass and Jeep Wagoneer S are made, will be down the month of April, the company said.
