Trump 47

The White House is preparing an estimate of what it would cost the federal government to control Greenland as a territory, according to three people with knowledge of the matter, the most concrete effort yet to turn President Donald Trump’s desire to acquire the Danish island into actionable policy. https://wapo.st/4hYn9Os

Ahead of Petey Hegseth’s visit today, the US Naval Academy removed virtually all photos of female Jewish Academy graduates to shield him from exposure to "wokeness".

In a kind of related tangent.....

Oklahoma tries to tariff/tax illegal drugs.

Oklahoma law has a series of statutes that says you have to pay taxes and affix tax stamps to " a drug, substance, or immediate precursor specified in Schedules I through V of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act which is held, possessed, transported, transferred, sold or offered to be sold in violation of the laws of this state".

Even makes it clear that they're only talking about illegal drugs by stating "Nothing in this act requires any person, including but not limited to pharmacists or doctors licensed by this state, lawfully in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, to pay the tax levied by Section 2 of this act."

Then it makes it a five year felony for any "dealer" (as defined by the statute) to possess the CDS without a tax stamp affixed.

I've never had a case where the tax stamps were actually affixed to illegal drugs. I've also never actually bothered to stack this charge on the trafficking or distribution charges I file. The Tax Commission actually makes the stamps. I know a drug defense lawyer that bough a whole sheet of them and then framed them and put them in his office with a plaque on the frame that said "Break in case of a drug bust emergency". :ROFLMAO:

How dare you not notify the state about your illegal activity.

You guys gonna make burglars report their income?

That relationship is ending with far fewer fireworks than I expected.

Guessing federal workers are happy about this development
