Gotta love a former local Kansas City politician and political activist that believes it is “inclusion” to kick-out Chick-Fil-A (because they “do not align with the morals of the community”) from the KCI Airport …and “inclusion” for a business to sell Harris campaign merch, but merchandise from the opponent is horrible and that company should be boycotted.

For anyone interested here is an article about the idiocy of giving raw milk to infants. From a political perspective the doctors mentioned are the type of medical experts I fear we will see gain prominence if RFK Jr has any input in shaping public health policy.

So I now exoect environmental protections to roll back and support for Ukraine to end in January. Good luck Ukraine, hope Europe can support you more. Hope we actually participate in NATO if needed.
If RFK takes over HHS, support for vaccination is probably going to plummet, and who knows what other weird crap is going to happen there.
If Elon gets the position they talked about and the mass firings happen (current Fed Gov employment in DC, MD and VA. Is over 280k people), the economy over here is going to suffer (even if they only cut 10% that's 28k jobs in a small geographic area) and the basic functions of normal government support will be hamstrung.
Hope there isn't the purging of military leadership that he talked about cause that would be really not good either.
But hey, one positive is maybe this means Thomas and Alito will retire. Only they'll get replaced by more Federalist society members.

As a federal worker who is 9 months, 14 days from my earliest possible retirement, I'm probably being overly anxious but this has me scared $#!tless. Especially if the Rs control both chambers and Trump really does put Elon in charge of "efficiency" or whatever he called it.

I agree, the country will survive. But that doesn't mean that people won't suffer for it. Some things can't just pause for 4 years while we wait for him to leave without having a negative impact.
You're cool. If (when?) anything stupid happens it's going to be tied up in the courts for years.
I understand. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the way my country is headed. I don't like what this says about the future my daughters are likely to see.
In the end, we get the leaders we deserve.

You'll only have to last 7 months by the time he's in office so you're probably good... depends on how long it takes them to confirm Elon and to push termination paperwork.
But to be safe make sure you start being really vocal about how awesome Trump is. It might save you.
That would probably work and that's a bigger problem than any partisan bickering.
As a Minnesota resident my immediate concern is any potential naturally disaster and retaliation from the federal government based on who the opposition VP candidate was. It's a little crazy that this is the first thing that would come to mind but that's where we are today.
