Guyana is a real possibility considering Venezuela is already claiming territory that have oil reserves and Venezuela is a Russian ally. Russia’s interest is to cause chaos in oil producing regions because they benefit from high energy prices due to supply instability. It also helps their allied petro-states. This strategy will only intensify if they succeed without paying a heavy cost.
