Imagine trying to mess with someone in prison to show them who's boss and they are a MMA fighter
Yea, which is why I will never have a fight again in my life if I can at all avoid it. I'm getting old which is already a disadvantage. I trained at a gym in Australia that had quite a few MMA fighters. You really would not know by looking at them. They just looked like guys in decent shape. But, pretty much any of them could have decimated me.
BUT, the bigger issue for me is we are at the point of imprisoning Australians for a detail on a visa? This isn't illegal behavior. This isn't even crossing a border for asylum seeking. This is a regular person on a regular trip to an allied foreign country. I travel a lot and have always had a background fear of an inappropriate detainment in places like China, Dubai, Vietnam etc. But, I just never envisioned we would become that place.
I will probably from now on leave the US on my US passport and use my Australian passport everywhere else. We have made ourselves a mark.

We've been doing this for over a month now. British, Canadian, German... We aren't just detaining people from Mexico, or South America crossing illegally. We are detain and interrogating people on travel visas for extended periods of time. Few examples below, with a lot more out there.
