Donald Trump’s interview at the Economic Club of Chicago was a rambling, unmitigated mess. The former president seemingly displayed zero knowledge of policy, tripling down on his harmful tariff proposals and advancing incoherent conspiracies about illegal voters.

Trump thinks his comments about sending military after ‘enemy from within’ on election day were ‘nice’
When Bartiromo suggested that America was headed for possible violence on election day due to scores of immigrants supposedly being let into the US illegally by the Biden administration, Trump claimed the “real” problem was the so-called “enemy within.”
“I don’t think [immigrants] are the problem in terms of election day,” Trump told Bartiromo. “I think the bigger problem are the people from within, we have some very bad people, sick people, radical left lunatics.”
He added: “And it should be easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.”
He added: “I think the bigger problem is the enemy from within. Not even the people who have come in, who are destroying our country.”
Trump Doubles Down on Sending Military after Democrats
When asked about his comments on Tuesday night, Trump doubled down, insisting he “wasn’t unhinged” and claiming he was actually being “nice.”
Replaying the clip of Trump’s comments, Faulkner pointed to Harris’s claims that he “sounded unhinged” and was “out for unchecked power.”
“I thought it was a nice presentation,” Trump responded, sparking laughter from the audience.
The former president then launched into a fresh attack on Democrats.
“They’re Marxists and communists and fascists, and they’re sick,” he said.

Age, age, age, Joe’s too old. He’s too feeble and clueless. This was the constant Republican and media mantra. So in order to glean votes and in a selfless act Joe stepped out of the race. Kamala is MUCH younger than Biden or Trump. The Democrats are generous and flexible enough to elevate the Vice President as our candidate. Now @JTOSU can you honestly say compared to Harris, Trump’s mental acuity is equal to or better than hers? He moved around as though he thought he was dancing for 39 minutes, when he was supposed to be answering questions. His elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top anymore. Harris has NO such problem. Her criminal record is clean, where Trump has been convicted of multiple felonies. Last time I checked, she hasn’t been convicted of rape, or anything else. She respects the Constitution and our Democratic Republic, do you honestly think Trump does? Take the time to listen his fascist words and to his read Project 2025 playbook!!! You state that both parties selected “poor” candidates . Considering the above examples, not to mention the voluminous others, leads me to believe that you might just be a rabid misogynist incapable of understanding truth when presented with it. Honestly comparing the two as equals should be an effort in futility. Harris is sane, and will respect the outcome. Do you honestly think Trump will.
