Peaked in 2016, had a slight re-test of the peak in 2019, and been in free fall ever since.

We'll always have this year's Mickey Mouse conference title though.

We may be a little bit like Texas A&M. Haven't done much in a really long time, have great facilities (1 Omaha trip in 23 years), obsessed with past traditions, and just massively underachieve.

I just don’t see how you can look at what has happened the last two years and not make a change. Hell outside of one trip to Omaha it’s always the same stuff. You either hit a home run or strike out and the pitching staff just implodes. It’s like clockwork. At a certain point you have to look at the head of the snake. But I doubt anything will happen because he hasn’t even been forced to make changes to his assistant coaches at all. Wasting the best ball park in college baseball

For everyone who says mid week doesn’t matter. If you go out and beat these teams down instead of treat them like glorified scrimmages then they come into this regional thinking they have no chance. Instead it was the exact opposite.

The ironic thing is, we expect more in football, and we constantly complain about Gundy, even though he’s a consistent winner. This last year was a debacle with injuries and in a bad year. we still had a winning season. If he has another 7–6 season, (he won’t) I guarantee you people would be calling for his head. Why don’t we have the same level of expectation for the rest of our men’s programs?

Basketball and baseball had its share of injuries. So did baseball especially on the mound. Only difference one brought home a trophy which was baseball. Baseball does a lot of winning like football. One sport doesn’t bring home conference championships, and the other doesn’t make it to Omaha. Basketball is what it is…the complaints about gundy are more than fair just like the complaints about Josh or mike boynton

A conference championship is a conference championship whether you like it or not. If it bothers you that much, take it up with the AD and let me know how it goes

Difference is the year before this bad year, Gundy was 12–2 and won the Big 12 regular season, was 6 inches away from winning the Big 12 championship game with a depleted team, then beat Notre Dame in a NY6 bowl. When’s the last time we did anything like that in baseball? When has Gundy suffered the equivalent of a run-rule by a mid-major in football?

A conference championship is a conference championship whether you like it or not. If it bothers you that much, take it up with the AD and let me know how it goes

Down year for the Big 12, yet the best we can muster is a 3-way tie for the title. Why? Because of the 5 top teams in the conference we played, we lost 3 of those regular season series, and needed a 9th inning collapse from Texas to have not lost 4. Wanna make matters worse? Every single Big 12 team playing this weekend has won at least one game...except us the only team that's hosting.

But yea, sure we'll all look back fondly years from now on our conference title.
