Stillwater Regional

I’ve said it for 2 years. With the exception of Texas this year we have lost the series to every good team that has come to obrate.

Difference is the year before this bad year, Gundy was 12–1 and won the Big 12 regular season, was 6 inches away from winning the Big 12 championship game with a depleted team, then beat Notre Dame in a NY6 bowl. When’s the last time we did anything like that in baseball? When has Gundy suffered the equivalent of a run-rule by a mid-major in football?
No such thing as regular season champions in football. No one even acknowledges that except us. 6 inches, 6 yards, still counts as a lose at the end of the day and Baylor was without their starting Quarterback. If your into bowl games that’s great, I would much rather have conference championships, play in the CFP. Haven’t seen a championship since 2011, i can genuinely see fans are frustrated.

Baseball outside of Omaha, has won 2 big XII tournament championships in the last 6 seasons. Has made the championship game 4 out of the last seasons. Also has been in postseason every year he’s been at the helm. 2019 went to super regionals and was an inning away from Omaha. Both have similar accomplishments. I sure wish we went to Omaha more

End of the day both deserve praise and criticism when it’s warranted.

Football lost a trash ass WVU team on senior day, getting your teeth kicked in 48-0 by KSU is flat out embarrassing no way you slice it. I guess if you back to the late 2000s the lose to Troy and Houston were not great. Safe to say it’s been a disappointing year on the men’s side. Hopefully football bounces back

Down year for the Big 12, yet the best we can muster is a 3-way tie for the title. Why? Because of the 5 top teams in the conference we played, we lost 3 of those regular season series, and needed a 9th inning collapse from Texas to have not lost 4. Wanna make matters worse? Every single Big 12 team playing this weekend has won at least one game...except us the only team that's hosting.

But yea, sure we'll all look back fondly years from now on our conference title.

I don’t think it’s going to say down year on the trophy. Down year or not they found a way. We’ve had others sports where the league was down and still couldn’t find a way. You can keep bitching and moaning…no one is stopping you…It’s still a disappointing ending to the season. And unless coaches resign, no one is getting fired. Just like no one got fired in basketball or wrestling…baseball won’t be getting new coaches.

Outside of cross country and track, it’s been a rough year for the men’s sports. All the coaches have wet the bed in their respective sport.

It’s pretty simple to me, if the standard is making regionals Josh is your guy. If the standard is to make post season runs, Josh has not proven he can do that. The standard is not regional appearances. The standard sure as hell is not going 0-2 in regionals, especially in your OWN DAMN BALLPARK. That’s like saying it’s okay for Gundy to go 6-6 the next 5 years because well hell, we are bowl eligible, what more can you ask for? Loser mentality I hate it. This is a big time college baseball job, especially with top notch facilities. Plenty of coaches would kill for this job, I think Josh needs to be reminded of that. I also believe Josh is not dumb, he knows this is unacceptable. The question is, what will he do to fix it?
