Say what you want about Ollie...

but this is refreshing in this era of college foorball:

“I finish what I start,” Gordon said. “My mama always taught me that you finish what you start. Who would I be to give up on my team because our season’s not going how we want it to go?

“Just because our season’s not going how it’s supposed to, I’m supposed to give up now? I find that really weird and the way that people can just sit there and say that is crazy. But they’re wasting their breath saying it because I’m not giving up on my team.”

What else can he say?
Have you not paid attention the last few years? We got guys opting out of bowl games, entire seasons, and making "business decisions" left and right in games. I'm not even saying that it's all completely wrong, which actually makes Ollie's position that much more admirable. He is sticking by his convictions even when it would be really easy and understandable for him to bail. That says a lot about him. Such an attitude and character could actually bolster his NFL stock, especially if his measurables prove to be NFL-level in the spring.

Exactly this.

He’s already proved his loyalty. If the time comes that he needs to concentrate on his next move I support him. He’s honestly more valuable to the program as a pro prospect than anything he can do on the field for us at this point.

He has to say what he said because these NFL Scouts dissect everything, plus he already had one hiccup with the DUI this past Summer, and if he says the WRONG THING IT CAN MEAN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SECOND OR THIRD ROUND PICK OR A FITH OR SIXTH ROUND SELECTION!!! 🤔
Or he meant it and we can stop looking for ways to denigrate him for absolutely no reason.

Until his effort on the field looks otherwise, I’ll take his statement as 100% truth.
He’s done nothing but back that up so far; if more dudes played as hard as he has, we’d already be bowl eligible.

I didn’t say he didn’t MEAN IT, DID I !!!!! I said that he has a future to think of and A LOT OF POTENTIAL EARNINGS ON THE LINE AND HE HAS TO BE CAREFUL WHAT HE SAYS AGAIN, BECAUSE HE DOES HAVE THAT X next to him for that DUI incident!!! I give him credit for not taking the potential bait that little turd from Pistols Firing, Marshall Scott, tried to throw out there WITH A LOADED QUESTION to make a headline!!! Obviously media relations people work with these guys on how to answer a LOADED QUESTION, which is good!!! THAT IS REALITY!🥴

Enough with the capital letters already, also its hard to tell what reality you're talking about

That should help his draft stock a good bit. In a sea of running backs, standing out for your integrity is a good thing for your future.
