IMO, this is one of those situations that folks are probably going to learn the unintended consequences will end up causing a bigger fuss later on. Dictating that this instance of a flag being displayed against a previous policy be allowed will open the door for *not* American flags also being allowed. If there are any other current flags that some of these same folks may not want to see displayed in the parking lot, they might need to go ahead & buckle up buttercup.

Yep. And in the past, people who were in leadership decisions took information like that into consideration and tried to make decisions that were in the general best interest.

But, now we have "leadership" who have a clear intent to magnify minor issues, blow them up as if they have far more meaning than they do, then create controversy and division. That is what maintains their power.

I don’t know about that. Flags in pickups started around here with Confederate flags. When banned the same people switched to American flags. Schools are supposed to be run by local school boards. Teachers are supposed to be operating as parents while at school. Giving in to political power and politicians undercuts the authority of boards and teachers to operate independently. The party of small government loves to stick its nose into everything and usually not for the better. IMO

"ESSENTIAL TRAVEL"
Here's a look at how you spent $27,000 of money meant for Oklahoma public education -
"Essential" travel? Seems like that should come back to haunt him. Then again, he also seems to be able to do whatever the hell he wants with no repercussions.

🚨 HAPPENING NOW- @okcfox crews asked to leave the ongoing meeting where Oklahoma educators are reviewing @RyanWaltersSupt’s proposed new standards for Social Studies. Those there had to sign an NDA, but one teacher told us it’s a “sh*t show” inside.
tslferguson will have more tonight.

According to sources who spoke anonymously, the Oklahoma State Department of Education surprised teachers on Tuesday with a drafted set of standards that are causing them concern.

I want to throw up': Committee members dismayed over social studies standards draft

Now the NDAs, their particular terms, and who signed them very well may discoverable under the ORA….though it would undoubtedly take litigation to get them out of Ryan’s clammy flop-sweated hands.

Why does the government need NDA’s?
I didn’t say they do in this situation.

Two situations where I have seen it though is in contract negotiations and product presentations where the state reps sign an NDA agreeing not to reveal trade secrets or proprietary information revealed in the presentations.

Another one has to do with not disclosing source code of a proprietary software programs and customized software solutions as a result of an ORA request or bid award protest.
