Regionals

One guy Florida has available is:

Jake Clemente 2-0 5.66 ERA 1GS 20.2 IP 20H 15R 13ER13BB 30K

He's a 6'3 RHP RS Freshman

He gave 3 runs, 1 hit and 2BB vs us yesterday. But he only has .1 IP this weekend. Longest outing was 3.0IP against Vandy

RHP Ryan Slater might be their most likely starter.

5-2 with 3 starts on the year. 6.70 ERA. 49 IP, 44 K's, 62 H allowed. They struggled mightily in midweek this year, hopefully we see why on their 5th game of the weekend.

UF took some risks and played to win tonight. They also got the benefit of some calls at the plate that helped. We were flat offensively to say the least and played not to lose in front of a great crowd. I still like our chances tomorrow if we just play and not over think it. Let’s hope Josh coaches like his job is on the line tomorrow.

3. Pitching advantage, Cowboys

As is no surprise, Oklahoma State should have the pitching advantage on Monday after playing one less game than the Gators this weekend.

Each of Florida’s top six pitchers (in innings pitched) has thrown already this weekend, with four of them going at least 4.1 innings.

The exceptions to the list include junior Fisher Jameson, who threw 1.3 innings this weekend in two appearances against Nebraska. He has a 4.15 ERA this season and only started one contest.
Ryan Slater, who threw 47.2 innings this season with an ERA of 6.99, threw two innings this weekend. He’s started three games this season. The Gators don’t have pitchers with more starts this year that haven’t thrown already this weekend.
“Well, we got plenty of arms, just a matter of some guys stepping up,” Florida coach Kevin O’Sullivan said. “That is why you come to Florida.”

The Cowboys have managed to keep their top arms relatively fresh.

Sam Garcia, who leads the team in starts (16) and is second in innings pitched (89), only threw 3.2 against Niagara on Friday.
Robert Cranz, who is third overall in innings pitched (46.1) and first in ERA (1.55), has yet to see the mound this weekend.
Tommy Molsky, fifth in innings pitched (38) with a 4.74 ERA, also has yet to throw in regionals.
“Feel great about who we will put on the mound tomorrow,” Holliday said.

It was either OU and/or the SEC as they are both the source of everything that upsets Pokes.
Dude, we’ve had two home runs over turned, terribly inconsistent balls and strikes, and two choads calling the games while simultaneously being fan girls of the SEC. Why wouldn’t we blame EsecPN and the SEC. We need to score more runs, but umpire central needs to show up without their SEC polos on

What's Caglianone's pitch count at for the weekend? Might see him again as well despite being shelled on Saturday.

Good news is Neeley we for certain won't see, and he's been the only one that's shut us down yet. If nebraska can put up double digit runs on these guys, zero reason we can't. Heck even last night we hit plenty of balls really well but directly at people.

Shake this last monkey off your back and just win boys. Did it already this season with Tech and ORU, now it's time for regionals.

From everything I’ve seen Florida tends to protect arms. Wouldn’t expect anyone that has had any kind of long outing. Doubt we we see Caglianone

Were the home run calls correct?

I saw the game on Saturday, and it looked like the fan reached over the wall. I wasn’t able to watch the game last night, but it seemed from posts in this thread to be the correct call.

I understand the first one. Could be argued the fan reached over the wall and pulled it back. I have no idea what they saw on the second one that warranted an overturn

It might have been? But there wasn’t a definitive camera angle that showed the ball wasn’t going to be out anyways. The Florida guy had zero chance to catch it though. The kid caught the ball 3 feet above the wall right on the wall.
