It’s easier than ever to make these kind of changes immediately when things aren’t working and you need a fresh approach. In addition to assistants, there are so many analysts, quality control coaches, GA’s, etc filling these staffs. You can pretty seamlessly elevate one of the assistants to play calling, then promote someone else to the position group. Also, the analysts typically have coordinator or even HC experience.
