In theory this sounds great but he is at USC thats not a hard place to land recruits. That said i think in todays college football you need an offensive mind.
I’d rather lose 56-52 than 66-3 or 19-12……
He got guys at UTSA before he went to the NFL as well that had no business playing there.

We going to see more of this unfortunately. The new coaches are going to have to put in some overtime.
I also know that hes very interested in coming back, its alot closer to home and California is expensive to live in! He loved his time in Stillwater, I have a source that told me his agent and the AD had talked before this happened.
This is the worst part about firing a coach mid season before signing day in December, but that would tell me they will have the guy in place before then to help get that class back to being formidable after all the de-commitments

For my first post I will tell you I played at Central Missouri State University and was a GA for a former Cowboy Assistant Coach Jim Dickey when he served as HC at K-State. I love football and my family are mostly all Cowboys. When Coach Gundy was let go my text group went wild and the name that kept coming up was Collin Klein. He is in his fifth season as an OC and as you all know he played for Coach Snyder. Is he ready? That can never be known. I'm not sure anyone can answer that. He seems to fit the bill of what we need. Stable guy, recruited quite well at K-State and knows the area of the Big 12. I would imagine he will be a head coach next season. I'd guess he gets at interview at Oklahoma State and who knows?
Hire a GM first and foremost. We cannot continue with a regime that is answerable solely to the HC.

100% but I am telling you, everyone wants Zac Robinson but what has he proven. Henderson was in the NFL and won. Has come to college to a struggling USC team and turned the defense around. He would get it done here, no doubt in my mind. We need guys that look like the guys OU and Texas, and other SEC/ Big 10 schools get. Sure money talks but relationships still matter. If you don't believe that then why do we have guys de-committing because money is just extra on top.

The sports animal guys were going crazy about the timing and the portal. They couldn’t make sense of this being done on Tuesday. Guys, did you not watch/listen to the press conference? I’m sure that prompted the internal conversations.
And the portal, who cares?! This roster had 60% turnover last year, it was going to be the same next year, and that’s probably a good thing. Oh, and by the way, it’s NIL era, if they opt out they don’t get paid.
Credit to Cale Gundy, he was gracious in his remarks and even said he didn’t believe there would be animosity between Mike and the school in the future.

The Sports Animal is reporting that Weiberg has signed a four year contract as AD.
