Cincy in Stillwater

I had no idea that was a grand slam, even though I was watching it live. I just thought it was off the wall. Apparently so did Tom judging by his remarks. Saw some tweets this morning calling it a grand slam, and thought that isn't right. Look here, then look at the replay. Sure enough, that was a grand slam. Sweet!!
Same here. On TV it was hard to tell unless you watched really close that it did bounce off the batters eye. Real time I thought it was just a deep enough fly ball the outfielder didn't even bother trying to play it cause it was game over anyway, and the first time hitting the ground was how far it traveled, not a rebound off the batters eye. Same with on replay you can make it out being more solidly hit than it seemed live. Real time it didn't seem as towering a shot as it ultimately was.

Today will be a pretty big outing for Brian Holiday.

Was last weekend just a bad outing or is his confidence a little rattled? Or I really hope it wasn't the dreaded dead arm.
And even though we ended up scoring 8 runs, it would be great to put some pressure on the defense in the first 5 innings tonight.
I think he found out the hard way last week what happens in the dreaded Oklahoma wind if you just slightly keep the ball up in the zone!!! 🤔

Cincy starts the game with two ground ball singles off of Holiday

Fly ball to deep CF caught but runner moves to 3rd

Strike out swinging

Single to LF, RBI

Flyout to RF

1-0 Bearkats

Nice lead off double for Benge in B5….Nolan with infield single so runners at 1st and 3rd with no outs

Meola with RBI single to make it 6-2…runners still at the corners with no outs

Colin does the same with RBI single to make it 7-2…runners still at corners with no outs

Cincy goes to the pen

It may not be as exciting as a HR but love the “pass the bat” approach this inning

Lane with RBI single to continue success at plate…now 8-2 Pokes

Carter with walk and bases FOC

Another pitching change for Cincy
