US continues to go backward...

Not sure where to put this one. Forwards because it finally came out or backwards because it contains what we all thought it would.

He's suing the House Ethics Committee over the release of the report.

He's not suing because it's false. He's suing because they are releasing a documented account of what he did.

Yeah. If no one pack can gain power, they have to work together more and those that refuse to will/should suffer for it by not getting their priorities supported.
You establish a system more smaller packs can form and compete instead giving a monopoly to just two packs and force everyone to join one or the other.

We're probably beyond that at this point though.
In order to do that you would have to have all of the packs be honest and not try and out maneuver the other packs. I don’t think that’s in the human psyche.

I think this is one of the 37 that he commuted from death to life in prison. Not saying I agree with it.
Why are we for killing people so much. All he did with these is commute to life in prison. I know some forget that pro life doesn’t just mean rebirth.

Oh look Gogetum doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
First of all I clearly posted "if true" because I simply cannot fathom why anyone would commute this guy's sentence. According to Mugato it apparently is true after all. So I have to ask....What in the actual crap are you talking about?

Maybe ask the guy that murdered two little girls. He seems like an expert on the subject.

'So I Choked Her': Serial Rapist And Killer Brags On Tape About How He Murdered Sailor

After Amanda Snell's body was found in her closet at a military base, authorities eventually learned they had a serial killer on the loose.

“She woke up, saw me, but she couldn’t believe her own eyes," he said, according to audio obtained by "One Deadly Mistake." “I jumped down and covered her mouth before she could start screaming.”

He added he couldn't "let her go in case she recognized me" so he tied her up with her laptop cord. “So I choked her about another two minutes that way," he said. "[...] “Now I’ve got a body to deal with ... luckily enough she had room in the bottom of her f--king closet."

The confession chilled investigators. But in an even more shocking twist, after running Torres' DNA through a database, they matched him to another horrific crime: the murder of two little girls in 2005 in Illinois: Laura Hobbs, 8, and Krystal Tobias, 9. They were found stabbed to death and had been sexually assaulted, Chicago CBS reported in 2010. Hobbs' father had been accused of the crime and spent five years in jail until his name was cleared and Torres was identified as the killer.

“I think we stopped a serial killer. I believe Torres was very predatory and there would have been more attacks," Jim Stone, a detective for the Arlington Co. PD, told "One Deadly Mistake."

I didn't look this particular case up. But I know Biden commuted 37 of 40 on federal death penalty sentences to life in prison.

The 3 he didn't commute were the bomber for Boston marathon, the guy that shot up the Tree of Life Synagogue in 2018 and guy that shot up a Charleston SC church in 2015.

Matthew 5:39

Not saying I'm capable of forgiveness in this particular situation but it is something we should strive for instead of using it for political fodder.
Tell that to those two little girls families. What's funny is that it wouldn't have been political fodder at all if he had just simply left this guy off the list. The truth is Biden isn't pardoning anyone. At this point he's just signing whatever they put in front of him.

I don't really support commuting sentences that don't have strong basis for claiming unfair trial or sentencing in general. Meaning, if the sentencing guidelines haven't changed to be significantly less severe, and there's no indication that the conviction was due to suppressed information, forced confession, etc.

In this case, I'm not a fan and it goes back to the presidential pardon/commutances need to be very specific. But that said, he is still never going to be in society again so no danger there. Hopefully the family of the victims are not traumatized more for this action.

It wouldn’t have been political fodder here if you wouldn't have said anything. Don't try to pass the buck-you put it here for a reason.

It's something I struggle with from a pro life standpoint. I should be happy that we aren’t using the justice system for vengeance in this situation. I did say a quick prayer for peace and healing over what I read, but being honest, if what he did comes out when he's in general population and nature takes its course I'm not losing sleep over it.

Why do you always make every comment about Biden as a someone else is pulling the strings?

There has been a push by some to get the federal death row cleared out by him for years and it was a campaign pledge in 2020 due to how many executions there were under Trump.

"The Biden administration in 2021 announced a moratorium on federal capital punishment to study the protocols used, which suspended executions during Biden’s term. But Biden actually had promised to go further on the issue in the past, pledging to end federal executions without the caveats for terrorism and hate-motivated, mass killings."

This was living up to that promise. The 3 left on death row were terrorism and mass shooting hate crimes.

Are pro police killing minorities but anti other murders in general or is it based on the party of the person doing the commuting?

Do not get me wrong, I am not defending this POS. I am just pointing out that you strongly defended the commuting of an already short sentence and the now early release of a police officer convicted of shooting a man and attempting to cover up the conditions of that shooting but strongly against this guy being shifted from death to life in prison.

Being a police officer should trigger harsher sentences to certain crimes not shorter. They should be held to higher standards not given free passes.

I never brought up party. I am against the death penalty because there is always a chance someone innocent will be put to death. One innocent life is worth more tan the revenge of the others to me.

I did not strongly defend the commuting of the sentence and you know it. I simply pointed out correctly that he most certainly didn't lynch anyone as the headline implied. But you already knew that too.

Did I get you confused with JT? You guys seem to be 1 and the same sometimes.

So, all of your posts were only about the choice of a single word that by definition was accurate but possibly not legally allowed for name of charge by Missouri law. They had nothing to do with the actual topic of commuting a murderer's sentence. Seems insincere.
