Ukraine. Ukraine. Ukraine.

Mostly. But not when mixed in with the other bullsh*t. That's what I liked about Vance's post. He made no mention of the Russian propaganda talking points: expansionist NATO, Ukrainian biolabs/corruption, yada yada yada.

And again, I do very much disagree with the administration giving up so much and demanding so little from Russia. Like Vance said, we have leverage too.
Meh, we won't know what they give up until the deal is done. It needs to be done. Yesterday.

And actually using that leverage to gain a true, meaningful peace as fair to all parties as possible is the difference between a credible agreement and appeasement.

What we are seeing right now is appeasement.

See like this stuff. Maybe some Trump whisperers can explain why he just makes stuff up? Easily verifiable stuff he just completely lies about. If you look up the quote, Trump says Zelenksy was sleeping and unavailable to meet and that Bessent was treated very rudely. Just....why?

He's trying to justify his appeasement stance and fool the marks into believing he's actually negotiating rather than submissively rolling over and showing his pasty white underbelly to Putin.

Classic grifter con man move.

A news conference between Zelenskyy and Trump’s Ukraine envoy is canceled amid growing tensions

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A news conference that was planned to follow talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump’s Ukraine envoy was canceled Thursday as political tensions deepened between the two countries over how to end the almost three-year war with Russia.

Russia Ukraine War

The event was originally supposed to include comments to the media by Zelenskyy and retired U.S. Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, but it was changed at the last minute to a simple photo opportunity where the two posed for journalists. They did not deliver statements or field questions as expected. The change was requested by the U.S. side, Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhii Nikiforov said.

MAGA doesn’t support Putin': Fox News host goes off on Trump’s 'un-American' foreign policy

Fox News host Mark Levin offered a rebuttal of President Donald Trump’s misleading claims about the war between Russia and Ukraine on his radio show Wednesday, voicing his support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Now look, I don’t have a problem if it’s the position of our administration to cut back on support for Ukraine — which I oppose, by the way — then so be it,” Levin said. “Elections have consequences, so be it. But I want to make sure the facts are on the table and you, the American people, draw your own conclusion.”

“MAGA doesn’t support Putin,” he said.

Trump recently claimed that Zelenskyy’s approval rating was at 4 percent and suggested that Ukraine started the war.

“Zelenskyy’s latest poll, he’s at 57 percent,” Levin said.

“The parliament — with all parties in the parliament — support what he’s doing,” he added. “They’re trying to survive. Ukraine did not invade Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine.”

"He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden 'like a fiddle,'" Trump posted on Truth Social Wednesday. "A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only 'TRUMP,' and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the 'gravy train' going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues….."

Levin defended Zelenskyy’s actions. “Zelenskyy ordered martial law — that’s what the constitution there compelled,” he said. “Zelenskyy hasn’t called for an election — that’s what the constitution there compels. Now, I’m waiting for the first free election for Vladimir Putin. I mean, this is almost comical in a sick way that Putin is demanding an election. Why is he demanding an election in Ukraine when he doesn’t have free and real elections in his own country? And why does he — why does he get to call the shots when in fact, he murders people who dare to challenge him?”

“This is what we’re dealing with. Again, old KBG, and not just KBG, [Putin] was in like Flynn with the Stasi in East Germany. So, I don’t know why there are people that not only oppose Zelenskyy, but seem to support Putin,” said Levin.

People with this position are pushing “policies that in many ways are un-American in my view, and policies that if they had espoused these policies not that long ago, people would have wondered if they were on the take, or who they’re working for, something like that," he added. "Not that they are, but they would wonder.”

“Ukraine doesn’t have the industrial might that a Russia has — or a China. A relatively small population of around 40 million people, mostly an agricultural country. They didn’t start this war. What were they supposed to do? Roll over and play dead?” he asked.

“If Ukraine is making preposterous demands that cannot be met, that’s another problem, that’s another problem. But the idea that Ukraine must hold elections in violation of its own constitution as a condition for peace, or that Ukraine must give up more territory as a condition for peace… you have to understand the Ukrainian people don’t want to do that. That’s why Zelenskyy at 57%, higher than most politicians in our own country!” he said.

Yeah I don't get it.

It's like telling a rape victim to just lay back and let him finish so that there's no violence and then blaming her because of what she was wearing.

GOP rep calls US-Ukraine resource deal ‘victim extortion’

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) said on Sunday that forcing Ukraine to agree to a resource deal with the U.S., in exchange for the possibility of support against Russia, is akin to “victim extortion.”

The moderate Republican said Russian President Vladimir Putin, who launched the invasion of Ukraine three years ago, should be the one forced to pay.

“Putin, and Putin alone, should bear the economic costs of Putin’s illegal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine,” Fitzpatrick said in a post on X.

“To force Ukraine to pay these costs is the epitome of victim-blaming and victim extortion.”

The statement comes as U.S. officials have been pushing a proposal wherein the U.S. would get half of any revenues from Ukraine’s natural resources, as well as earnings from ports and other infrastructure, according to The New York Times. According to a draft of the deal, the U.S. would collect until a special fund reaches $500 billion.

In exchange, the U.S. would provide long-term support for Ukraine’s reconstruction. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been pushing for security guarantees as well, and has resisted the terms being pushed by President Trump.

US votes against UN resolution condemning Russia for Ukraine war the hill

The U.S. voted against a resolution condemning Russia as the aggressor in the war in Ukraine that passed the United Nations General Assembly on Monday, marking three years since Russia’s launched its full-scale invasion of the country.

Among the 17 countries that joined the U.S. in opposition to the non-binding measure were Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Israel and Hungary, whose Prime Minister Viktor Orban is a close ally to President Trump. China abstained along with 64 other countries.

Ukraine’s European allies were unanimously in support. The resolution is an expression of the body, and not a binding action, but signals weakening U.S. political support for Ukraine under the Trump administration, in favor of improved relations with Russia.

President Trump, asked about the vote in the Oval Office on Monday, said he would rather not explain the rationale behind it, but called it “self-evident.”

Trump in recent days has blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the war, which started when Moscow initiated a full-scale invasion into the neighboring country on Feb. 24, 2022.

Trump has called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a “dictator without elections,” while his top diplomats over the weekend refused to cast blame at Putin, a stance that has also sewed a growing rift with traditionally hawkish Republicans, when it comes to Moscow’s international aggression.

The resolution, titled “Advancing a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” passed the General assembly with a vote of 93 in favor, 18 against, and 65 abstaining.

The U.S. proposed a competing resolution that omitted any mention of Russian aggression. The U.S. abstained from voting for its own resolution following amendments to the text. The resolution passed with 93 in favor, eight against and 73 abstaining.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. resolution is “consistent with President Trump’s view” that the U.N. must return to its “founding purpose… to maintain international peace and security, including through the peaceful settlement of disputes.”

Ambassador Dorothy Shea, acting head of the U.S. mission to the UN, said in remarks before the vote that the language included in Ukraine’s resolution mirrors previous resolutions, which “have failed to stop the war.”

“ It has now dragged on for far too long, and at far too terrible a cost to the people in Ukraine, in Russia, and beyond,” Shea said.

Shea, a Biden appointee, said the competing, U.S. resolution implores a swift end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“This is what is needed now, and we urge all Member States, including Ukraine and Russia, to join us in this effort.  A simple, historic statement from the General Assembly that looks forward, not backwards. A resolution focused on one, simple idea: Ending the war. A path to peace is possible.”

The confirmation of Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), Trump’s nominee for ambassador to the UN, is delayed over a hold by Senate Democrats, exercising opposition to the president’s dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development and other disruptive moves in the federal government.

But wait...I thought Trump said it was Ukraine Fault that Russia Invaded them....Now Russia saying they invaded based on God's Will

Invasion of Ukraine Was ‘God’s Will,’ Putin Says

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Sunday that his decision to invade Ukraine three years ago was part of “God’s will.”

“It was at God’s will that this fate fell upon our shoulders to carry out such a challenging but honorable mission of defending Russia,” Putin told soldiers after a Kremlin ceremony where he awarded them state decorations.

Putin ordered troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, under the pretext of halting what he called a “genocide” against Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine and “demilitarizing and denazifying” the country.

Since then, Russia has shifted its war goals to capturing territory in southeastern Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly vowed to continue its so-called “special military operation” until “all its goals are met.”

Putin allegedly believes Russia has already achieved its key objectives in Ukraine and has grown increasingly concerned about the war’s economic toll at home, anonymous sources familiar with Kremlin thinking told Reuters last month.

The war — the largest conflict in Europe since World War II — has killed tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians, displaced millions of Ukrainians and devastated cities across the country’s south and east.

In Russia, anti-war protests have been criminalized, with activists jailed, forced underground or driven into exile.

If it was God's will for Putin to declare war on Ukraine, then why hasn't Putin gotten the war won by now? Or did God change His mind?
