Trump 47

The Trump administration is preparing to unveil a budget proposal as soon as next week that includes draconian cuts that would entirely eliminate some federal programs and fray the nation’s social safety net.

This @Threads thing never functions for me.

Here is the article. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/25/us/politics/trump-budget-cuts.html?searchResultPosition=1

I'd be shocked if the return to work order isn't costing far more. Between the thousands of hours that is being spent by HR and supervisors trying to find space for people, the time spent on the high volume of "reasonable accommodation" requests, and of course, the money spent renting office space because most of the remote workers are not "returning" but are actually obtaining offices this has to be billions of dollars in waste. An appropriate and efficiency government would have reviewed the telework agreements and determined which ones were functioning appropriately and which ones were not. Instead, they are blowing taxpayer money like a drunk sailor forcing everyone into an "office" that most of the time isn't even functional.

What Elon Musk Didn’t Budget For: Firing Workers Costs Money, Too

An expert on the federal work force estimates that the speed and chaos of Mr. Musk’s cuts to the bureaucracy will cost taxpayers $135 billion this fiscal year.
Plus, as of last week, DOGE had already spent $127 million in less than 100 days. They will cost more money than they save by a mile and have all of our data as a bonus.

Long term, I'd like to see everyone involved with this heist in jail.

I'm not a Vivek fan, buy I wonder if he saw how this was going to go down and thought "Nope! I'm not gonna be involved in that s#!t show."

Trump Has Now Deported Multiple U.S. Citizen Children With Cancer
Two families — among them three U.S. citizens aged two, four, and seven — were abruptly deported under "troubling circumstances," says the ACLU of Louisiana

How many of tRumps first 100 days did he play golf, and speak with Putin for instructions? Anyone have any information? We know he hasn’t talked to Xi.

@CowboyJD is this accurate and what's it mean regarding the criminal complaints for the Judge's alleged actions?
It’s basically gibberish.

An immigration/administrative warrant isn’t a judicial warrant, that’s true.

However, you are obliged to obey it. The enforcement mechanism is just different.

And the warrant and it’s nature isn’t determinative of whether an obstruction of justice was committed.

That's kind of the whole point of the 4th ammendment.

Are we going to see some aspect of free speech and freedom of the press not constrained by the 1st ammendment? Are the people who used to say they would die for the 2nd now cool with it not applying to everyone going forward?
As long as it’s not them they won’t care.

If u feel the need to do something about Trump....this pretty much garuntees if Dems take the house in 2026 they will be going after impeachment of Trump

Sen. Jon Ossoff signals support for Trump impeachment
The Georgia senator told attendees at a town hall that the effort is not feasible without Democratic control of the House

They would need a commanding senate majority before that becomes anything other than political theater and I don’t see that happening in the next election

You were harshly critical of what you called the weaponization of the Justice System under Biden. You recently signed memos—

Well, sure, but you wouldn’t be—if this were Biden, well, first of all, he wouldn't do an interview because he was grossly incompetent.

We spoke to him last year, Mr. President.

Huh?

We spoke to him a year ago.

How did he do?

You can read the interview yourself.

Not too good. I did read the interview. He didn't do well. He didn't do well at all. He didn't do well at anything. And he cut that interview off to being a matter of minutes, and you weren't asking him questions like you're asking me.
