Trump 47

Picture it: The Democrats, onetime tribunes of the people, fiercely defending government employees from the taxpayers; the party of the oppressed putting it all on the line to protect federal bureaucrats from the people they’re supposed to serve.

It was a tableau for the ages, one example of the many strange battle lines the Democratic Party has chosen to defend these past few years: illegal migrants over citizens, teachers unions over parents and children, criminals over victims, men-turned-women over girls. Good luck with that, Democrats. You might want to fire your pollsters.

BREAKING: Donald Trump tells Bret Baier that he's going to send Elon Musk to do the "same thing" he did to USAID to the military next, after calling the entirety of the program a "big scam."

DOD does need some financial help, but it also needs congressional action to change. I think most of the issues comes from the way the acquisition side has been set up legally. Its stupid the way it's done, but DOGE can't fix that. REALLY hope they don’t start the same way they did with USAID (locked doors and rooting through every computer system) and start just firing people. Would be a very bad sign and even if not a step toward absolute power, it would set the DOD back potentially decades.

So your evidence is one Trump appointee who was quoted as saying “I would say yes get rid of FEMA the way it exists today,”firing a couple of FEMA folks based upon Elon’s tweet?
Show me ANY evidence it DIDN'T happen.

You don't want to(can't) because it would mean that something you don't want to believe just might be fact.

So, the democrats are the only ones allowed to have a billionaire running the puppet strings. Got it.

You are ok with a billionaire running the puppet strings? Because I think you would hear alot of people screaming if you replace Musk with Soros and it wouldn't just be the MAGA crowd.

How about we don't give the richest people in the world this kind of influence?

No, I'm not "ok" with it, that was my point. Why is it OK for either side?

I just find it amusing that some of you think the richest man in the country is after Grandma's $695 a month Social Security check.

I don't think that will happen. It's impossible to fathom the level of his wealth so there is no reason to worry about him ripping off your tax refund.

A bigger concern is who has access to the data and who is willing to either sell it to the highest bidder (also unlikely) or if a lapse in security would expose data to scammers (biggest concern from a cybersecurity standpoint).

If you aren't ok with it, why are you getting upset at other people who are? It's not a crime (yet) to say I disagree with what the administration is doing.

Not upset at anyone disagreeing. That's what makes the world go round. It's the needless hand wringing by those who thought the last 4 years was just swell. I've quit trying to understand it. I'm just here for those badge of honor zzz's. 😉
