Unaccompanied minor children taken in by ICE will now be required to represent themselves in the Immigration court system

Donald Trump's Move to Halt all Legal Services for unaccompanied Immigrant Children Sparks Anger

President Donald Trump's decision to halt legal support in immigration court for children who enter the United States alone has sparked fury from human rights advocates.

"The Trump administration is abandoning children for the sake of politics and leaving kids to fend for themselves against our complex immigration system," said Lindsay Toczylowski, the president and CEO of the Immigrant Defenders Law Center (ImmDef).

Newsweek has contacted the Interior Department for further comment.

Why It Matters

The Department of the Interior issued a stop-work order on Tuesday, immediately halting legal services for immigrant children supported by the Acacia Center for Justice's Unaccompanied Children Program.

The nonprofit assists almost 26,000 children currently in or recently released from the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which operates under the Department of Health and Human Services. ORR is responsible for the care of unaccompanied migrant children, and the order has raised concerns about due process, exploitation and the fairness of the immigration system.

When you simplify the Ukrainian revolution down to "it was the CIA" not only is that very, very ignorant, but it completely takes away the agency of millions of Ukrainians who supported EU membership and moving away from Russian influence. Talk to a Ukrainian immigrant. I had a customer who was one and it pissed him off that people thought it was a coup.

Like they're over there fighting and dying for independence and we're just fat f*cks over here like "NO OBAMA DID THAT SO GO RUSSIA"
Screw Russia and their little petty dictator also.

Ukraine is independent and govern themselves. This is not a war of independence. If it is they need to be fighting Us and the Russians.

We took over their media and pushed the propaganda to get Zelinsky elected. Call it what you like. It is also the ultimate cause of the war. Now Zelinsky has turned into a petty little dictator just like Putin.

I feel bad for the Ukrainian people. Dumbest thing their government ever did was start accepting money and granting influence to Russia and the U.S. Got them caught in the middle of a pissing match that's much bigger than them.

This is why I say Burn down USAID and replace it with something that actually helps people and creates good outcomes.

This did not start with Zelinsky. Russia invaded Georgia in 2008. They invaded Ukraine for the first time in 2014. Revolution of Dignity. Euromaiden protests. Ukraine's parliament voted to join the EACU. Their then President, a Putin puppet, went against them. Civilians died. Tens of thousands took the streets. The president fled the freaking country and they elected a new one, Peshenko(?) who served for like 5 years! So like I said earlier, Jesus....

And yeah explain or post some sources with your claims that "we took over their media."

Now you're just saying stuff. Dumb. Dumb stuff.

I'm wondering if it's the not holding elections issue or something else.

My understanding is they constitutionally can't hold elections during war.

No only that but it's a war where they have been invaded. I don't see how you hold elections when polling places are at risk of being bombed and you had a foreign invader willing to fix the polls in areas they control to create more turmoil.

Putin's stated intent has been to reinstate the old USSR to power and glory including the Iron Curtain.

I grew up as a child of the 80's. I really don't understand the lovefest I see with Trump and his supporters for the Evil Empire. Reagan must be rolling over in his grave.
Reagan would be a socialist leftist commie today.

One thing all Americans used to agree on was "Russia bad", and Putin is the worst of the worst dictators. Now half of the country is "Meh, doesn't look so bad to me. Russia is beautiful this time of year"

If people want to say that it's Europe's war/not our concern and we cant' afford it or have too much going on at home, I'll listen.

It's just ignorant and unnecessary to launch into how it's somehow NATO or Ukraine's fault when history says otherwise. Putin has been doing this in Europe for going on two decades.

I think it's a bit of hyperbole to say Reagan would be a socialist leftist commie today...the hyperbole was probably intentional.

He would DEFINITELY, however, without a doubt, be labeled a RINO by the Magastani....for his position on immigration if for nothing else.

Trump Endorses House Budget Plan Including Cuts to Medicaid After Insisting Medicaid Wouldn't 'Be Touched'

President Donald Trump recently endorsed a budget resolution proposed by House Republicans which, if passed, would indicate major funding cuts towards Medicaid hence compromising access to healthcare for millions of Americans despite promising not to do so in an earlier interview.

Trump promised to leave programs such as Medicaid and Social Security intact during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, alongside billionaire Trump-ally Elon Musk.

"Social Security won't be touched, other than this fraud or something we're going to find," Trump said. "It's going to be strengthened, but won't be touched. Medicare, Medicaid, none of that stuff is going to be touched."

The President previously vowed to "love and cherish" the program which provides health insurance for more than 70 million people.

However, the House Budget Committee released a draft of its budget resolution last week which aims to decrease spending by $2 trillion, including curtailing the spending of the House Energy and Commerce Committee by $880 billion.

The President proceeded to endorse this resolution on social media.

"The House and Senate are doing a SPECTACULAR job of working together as one unified, and unbeatable, TEAM, however, unlike the Lindsey Graham version of the very important Legislation currently being discussed, the House Resolution implements my FULL America First Agenda, EVERYTHING, not just parts of it! We need both Chambers to pass the House Budget to "kickstart" the Reconciliation process, and move all of our priorities to the concept of, "ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL." It will, without question, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" he wrote.

Senate Republicans are expected to release a draft of a competing budget resolution this week, in which they avoid incorporating tax cuts but extend them to later this year.

Other Republicans have voiced opposition towards cutting Medicaid funding. "I don't like the idea of massive Medicaid cuts," said Missouri Senator Josh Hawley just this week.

"Medicaid, you gotta be careful. Because a lot of MAGAs are on Medicaid, I'm telling you. If you don't think so, you are dead wrong," said conservative media influencer and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon.

The House budget proposal, which was presented by Republican Speaker Mike Johnson, has left at least seven GOP representatives undecided on whether or not to provide their support, according to POLITICO. House Republicans can only afford to lose the support of one party member for the proposal to pass.

2014 was a civil war and yes Russia backed their interest just like the west did.
