Reports of Medicaid being down in all 50 states after the federal funding freeze. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, asked whether Medicaid was cut off as part of OMB's funding pause and whether she could guarantee that individuals on Medicaid would not be affected, said at a briefing, "I'll check back on that and get back to you."

They didn't. The portal went down.
Some states reported on Tuesday that they were unable to tap federal Medicaid funds, even as the White House sent a memo to Capitol Hill saying that programs such as Medicaid would continue without pause. About an hour after the briefing ended, Leavitt posted on X that the “White House is aware of the Medicaid website portal outage.” She said no payments have been affected and that it should be “back online shortly.”

There is no severance package.
They are saying that you have to choose by Feb 6th to KEEP working from home until September 30th then at that point you are a forced resignation. OR, you can not resign and they will put you in some office somewhere. There is no severance pay involved.
NZ is typically a bit easier than Aus. Honestly, a lot depends on your field and their need for that type of worker.
We are Australian dual citizens. Was literally just having a conversation with my wife about our options about an hour ago.
