Slashing Iran's oil exports to a trickle sounds easier said than done. This is because the majority of Iran's exported oil goes to China. So, it would seem that China will have to cooperate with Trump by being willing to give up its thirst for Iranian oil. I suppose if China doesn't cooperate, Trump can double down on tariffs to China.

I know sanctions were recently placed on international shipping of Iranian oil to China. But other types of sanctions were made against Russia didn't work for it to give up fighting war against Ukraine. Part of the result was Carlson going to Russia and telling how things are better there, especially in the grocery stores. Trump talks lofty like a con-artist and felon to attempt to make deals, so I don't trust him on his desired outcome.

You realize the difference between choking off Russian Oil and Iranian oil right? We have ships that can shut down Iranian Oil pretty easily. Russian Oil is a whole different ballgame their pipelines keep Europe powered. We can talk big with Russia but at the end of the day it makes little difference. We can crush Iran.

In my opinion the reason Trump is trying to settle with Russia.

Such ideocracy in putting faith that relying on robots for manufacturing can be prosperous for everybody. Like humans can go to doctors when they're ailing, robots will go to robot mechanics when they are ailing. The solution is basic income for everyone, but I expect Republicans to try to fight that from happening. In the future, if you're already not smart and rich, like Musk, there is no helping you, especially from the government. There will likely need to be a 2nd Great Depression to figure out to deal with AI and robots. It makes be glad again I'm closer to age 100 than age 21.

You're only talking about another route to World War III. What do you think China will do without Iranian oil? Japan just before Pearl Harbor sure didn't like its sanctions.

Once again, I'm convinced that Musk looks forward to ultimately replacing most federal workers with AI and robots. Many Republicans would love to see up to 95% of federal workers dumped. But doing that is part of what it will take if you want to replace the federal income tax by using tariffs.
