How do you make a martyr out of a guy who's company plead guilty to the CRIMES?
Do you honestly not understand the company said YEAH WE DID THIS and now the owner is hit with the fine....just like any other company

Lol. In 35 years of banking I can tell you that I have made zero loan decisions based on what the customer stated his assets were worth. His own bankers testified that they did their own due diligence and were happy and willing to make the loans . They all made money. Nobody got hurt here and the Attorney General campaigned on getting Trump, she got a politically same minded Judge , got a judgment, and then gave him 30 days to raise a half a billion dollars. Seems reasonable doesn’t it? Crime?…if you’re good with applying this same scrutiny to every credit transaction that takes place (and you should be if you’re ok with this ruling) then industry will come to a screeching halt. The CFO plead guilty to perjury based on his testimony about them valuation of the penthouse (sacrificial lamb) and probably got a nice fat check to do a five month stretch at some country club prison. If this BS monetary judgment for a victimless “crime “ is representative of the American Justice System then I will happily stand on the other side.

So I’ll address your earlier reply to me first. I don’t think this moves the base more or less. They will vote for him no matter what as he’s even said. But that’s not where this is won or lost and he has a monumental challenge w Never Trumper Rs and Indies. Biden does as well but Biden has advantages there.
1)His campaign and DNC have cash. Trump and RNC have none.
2)Trump has a felony trial coming up. Biden doesn’t.
As to your question this probably doesn’t get litigated if Trump doesn’t run so again we can yet again thank Obama for making fun of him. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t have. History is littered w people who have been charged/prosecuted bc of who they were. Trump is not alone here.
What exactly is a $4!+ show? Do we have issues as a country? Absolutely. But when you tune out the media and social media and just watch people are genuinely going on w their lives. Reateraunts are full. Sporting events are full. Spring training is ongoing. The roads are packed. Airport travel has been and continues to be robust.We just traveled I40 to Nashville and I’ve never seen so many tractor trailers between Little Rock and Memphis and if you travel that regularly you would know that is saying something. US oil production is up. Nat gas prices are supportive of drilling on a 12mo strip and this is w us storage levels well above the 5 yr avg. us LNG exports are at record highs. New rare earth discoveries and helium deposits are being made in the US and w the chips act the us is poised to boom here.

First the farmer. Independent appraisals are done and then title work to make sure that he actually owns what he says he does and the title is clear. It's called due diligence and Trumps bankers testified that they made the loans based on their valuation not his just like a million loans will be made today all over the country. Just an absolutely ignorant example.
Now for the young couple. Again, banks do their own due diligence. Trumps bankers did...all bankers do. Do you seriously not think that the two mortgages are going to show up on the title opinion? Good luck with your house build. As ignorant as you appear to be about borrowing money you should probably go ahead and hire an attorney to do the heavy lifting for you. As for omitting two hotels from the financials I haven't seen anything about that but yes, technically, anything left off a financial statement could be considered fraud. My point is that if we are actually going to hold everyone to that standard most if not all of my customers could be prosecuted.
The difference between you and I is that if they were doing this to Biden to keep him off the ticket I would still be raising hell about it because it is absolutely ridiculous. Because of your blind hatred for the other side you seem to be good with it.

How many times has a political party brought suits like this stinker against a candidate for POTUS? I'm glad you're thankful to Obama for encouraging this type of lawfare but we all know you wouldn't be so giddy if this was going the other direction. Anyone who celebrates this type of politics is just being short sighted and straight up partisan. This crap isn't good for any of us and it needs to stop.

New York Attorney General Letitia James’s use of lawfare to take down Donald Trump is getting uglier by the day. She is now threatening to seize the former President’s assets after effectively denying him the ability to appeal the grossly inflated civil-fraud judgment against him.
Ms. James no doubt knows she has Mr. Trump in a bind. She and courts have opposed his requests to reduce the bond even though a court-appointed independent monitor overseeing his businesses eliminates the risk he could dispose of or transfer his assets to make the judgment harder for the state to enforce.
As we wrote last month, the judgment is overkill. None of Mr. Trump’s business partners lost money lending to him or claimed to have been deceived by his erroneous financial statements. No witness during the trial said his alleged misrepresentations changed its loan terms or prices, and there was no evidence that he profited from his alleged deceptions.
Nonetheless, state trial judge Arthur Engoron ordered him to “disgorge” $355 million in “ill-gotten gains.” This sum was based on the interest-rate savings that a financial expert retained by Ms. James estimated Mr. Trump netted from his legerdemain. But this calculation seems dubious since banks said they didn’t alter their loan terms.
As for the crap show:
-The withdrawal from Afghanistan should be enough to disqualify Biden from ever holding public office
- The border situation should be enough to disqualify Biden from every holding public office
- The way Biden handled Covid should be enough to disqualify him from ever holding public office
-We are now firmly entrenched in two conflicts overseas which, in my opinion, never would have happened if Biden wasn't such a feckless inept leader and he is making both of those situations worse by the day
-As for the economy and your rosey outlook:
-We ran a $2T deficit last year and now have over $33T in debt and a 133% debt to GDP ratio. Do a little research and see how many countries have survived that ratio without defaulting. And Biden is doing stupid crap like forgiving $150B in student loans to buy votes.
-Saving rates are at an all time low and credit card and auto loan defaults are surging. Despite the BS inflation numbers that they put out (only to be revised at a later date) everyone that is paying attention knows that inflation isn't under control and consumers are starting to hurt so look for Biden to start cutting checks before November. And resteraunts are not doing well in spite of your ancedotal evidence.

I obviously don't share your opinion of how great this economy is, mainly because you are just regurgitating DNC talking points, but I suppose it could be worse and some of it isn't even Biden's fault. If you think he's going to make it better you are going to be very disappointed.

Facts are that going back to Reagan the national debt has increased under R and D admins pretty equal.
I think the lesson to learn from Trump is that you can do anything you want in this country if you have enough money. Except fook with the US government. And he absolutely tried to overthrow an incoming President, shat all over the peaceful transfer of power like we've never seen. And for that the US government is fooking him back.
And not a single one of those things is what this suit was about. Enjoy it while it's going this direction. Just remember this when it goes the other way. Our government shouldn't be in the business of fooking its citizens but people like you keep cheering them on.
