I haven't voted for a Republican or Democrat candidate for president since 2008 when it was for Obama. In 2012, I left the ballot blank for which president candidate to vote for. I was relieved my ballot wasn't spitted back. Since 2016, I've voted for the Libertarian candidate for president as a protest vote to express how bad the Democrat and Republican candidates are for president. My nephew felt the same way when voting in 2020, except he voted for Kanye West to show he wasn't prejudiced against the black candidate. Unfortunately, the 2020 vote against Democrats and Republicans was far from big enough to impress upon them that they better shape up or ship out. It will surely be the same way for 2024 even if it's Biden vs Trump.
If Kennedy is on the ticket as an independent candidate for president, it will leave me with an interesting decision if I should vote for him as a protest candidate, rather than for the Libertarian. But then if Kanye West runs again on the Oklahoma ballot, I will have to consider him as well.

I did the same thing in 2016 and 2020. I refused to vote for trump and Hilary and Biden were not appealing. Had we lived in a swing state I probably would have voted for trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020. I think the only candidate that could get me to vote for a mainline party right now is if Haley somehow makes a comeback. Still, that would be a pretty weak decision to do it.
Man do I wish we could get a moderate, realistic, and strong morals Republican through the primaries. Romney would be good. Kasich would be a dream.

I have voted republican for pres except once. I'm all over the place in state and locals....I haven't voted for Pres since Obama left and won't this time. Trump did some good stuff policy wise and I believe the world wouldn't be on the verge of war if he were pres now......but as unhinged as he was before he is completely off the rails on the crazy train now to a degree of danger no one should want to see. Biden isn't fit for office anymore....he isn't fit to manage himself much less a country. We are screwed. And we may be screwed more from the outside than the actual people are forced to decide between. There is little truth to information anymore and that's how you get the cults we have now. Biden is a failure of a pres by pretty much any measure.....Trump quotes Hitler. Hitler...the man is quoting a gynocidal maniac about poisoning the blood. And there is a sizeable group of people on both sides that are spoon fed propaganda to bolster their feelings over truth. In the last few weeks we have found out the Sec of Def was in the hospital and no one was informed and his second and pres were on vacation while we are backing/engaging in wars on two fronts.....the money we gave Iran is absolutely funding our enemies.....the money and arms we are giving Ukraine can't be accounted for....state governors are taking over public places and not allowing federal enforcement agencies in.......humans are beings shipped around like pawns....and we as a populous are fussing over soundbites. That's how societies fall.
Nothing we say or do hear on this message board is ever going to effect any meaningful change. We could all agree 100% what should be done, and it would mean not a single thing.
I don't know if we are beyond the point of no return. Maybe we have crossed our rubicon as a society. If we aren't there yet, we're getting close.....and I have no idea what we do as a society to reverse course.
Just wait until we have mass AI generated deepfake videos to go along with AI generated photos and fake news articles of all political persuasions. This is the biggest threat with AI imo.

Trump: NBC, CNN should have ‘licenses or whatever’ pulled for not airing Iowa speech
Former President Trump says NBC and CNN should be taken off the air for their decision to not air in full the speech he gave in Iowa following his win in Monday’s caucuses.
“We were talking about her show and how corrupt the press is, and last night it was amazing,” Trump said during separate remarks to a crowd in New Hampshire on Tuesday night. “NBC and CNN refused to air my victory speech. Think of it — because they are crooked. They’re dishonest, and frankly, they should have their licenses or whatever they have: Take it away.”
MSNBC did not show any of Trump’s speech, something that has become a regular practice for the network since his presidency ended three years ago.
“There is a reason that we and other news organizations have generally stopped giving an unfiltered live platform to remarks by former President Trump,” said Rachel Maddow, a leading pundit, on its air Monday night as he was speaking. “It is not out of spite. It is not a decision that we relish. It is a decision that we regularly revisit, and honestly, earnestly.”
Calling it “not an easy decision,” Maddow continued: “There is a cost to us as a news organization of knowingly broadcasting untrue things. And that is a fundamental truth of our business and who we are.”
CNN meanwhile aired some of Trump’s remarks, before cutting away when he began using what anchor Jake Tapper called “anti-immigrant rhetoric.”
Fox News carried Trump’s remarks, as did a number of other media outlets.
The former president has attacked MSNBC in the past, pledging late last year to investigate Comcast, its parent company, and suggesting it is guilty of treason.
Trump has for years complained about the coverage of him on CNN, labeling the network “fake news.”
If we could somehow demonetize fear and outrage, that'd be a start.
As a “news” organization, MSNBC made a poor journalistic decision not airing a newsworthy event.
That said - Trump’s response is full-on idiotic. MSNBC is a company that can and should be able to make decisions what they are showing to the public. MSNBC, as a cable network, does not have a license, granted by the government, that can be taken away.

The most ardent of his supporters believe the law should bend to his will. He does fantasize about being a dictator and that would really make all his supporters' vaginas extremely wet.
His victory speech in a caucus where he has been consistently predicted to win in a landslide is not particularly newsworthy.
