It's fascinating that the Republicans would approve an ex-congressman for IRS Commissioner who had filed a bill to abolish the IRS. After leaving Congress he was associated with a firm that was promoting a fraud-riddled COVID tax credit, ruled that way by the IRS. His approval to me seemed like a great way by Trump and the Republicans to get back at the IRS for taxing and auditing them but after only two months on the job he just wasn't working out well with Trump. Of course, it's better to pick someone with some experience with federal tax administration, rather than someone well qualified as a Trump fanatic.
