The Charleston Classic

Wonder boy has sure made it easier on the other men's sports to look better!

That said men's basketball and wrestling appear to be trending in the right direction. Baseball not so much but at least hasn't fallen completely of the map.

Men’s baseball won the Big 12 tourney last year, won the league the year before, has won 40 games 5 of the last 8 years (not counting the Covid season). Post season success has been underwhelming, but “not so much” is kinda BS.

Now back to basketball. I’ll be at the game again tomorrow, so Lutz go!!!! Would be nice to leave this tourney 2-1.

These wins matter. If we don’t have a strong non conference season we won’t have a chance for the post season

This team is coached way better and plays better, but this weekend should show us there is still a LONG way to go.

I don't think any of the three opponents would be in the upper half of the Big 12 and we went 1-2.

We have an EIGHTEEN free throw advantage and we're down 11 to Nevada. They are shooting 58%.

Nevada looks like they’re in mid-season form. We show signs of really good basketball about 30-40% of the time. Got a lot to work on. Still need to find the “guy” but not sure we have one

Nervous to say it, but our lack of height and a go-to offensive guy are going to be rough in Big 12 play. Love the effort though. I think we have a good coach, in Lutz, who will get us where we want to be.
