Spring Ball Thoughts?

Morris said an interview after practice that "we know who most of the 1s are......." After seven practices? Wow that's crazy to me. That's a really quick evaluation of about 100 players.
Well it beats waiting 4 games into the season - nearly every year - to name a starting QB. At least they will be getting first team reps and building continuity.

If I was a non-UNT guy (and 3/4 of them are) I'd be a little pissed. We'll wait and see. I don't care who starts as long as they play good football.
I would say he used his guys as a measuring stick...he knows what they are - strengths/weaknesses - and is relatively easy to see if the other guys are a step above or a step below his known quantities. <sarcasm on> In fact, there are several coaches on this board that can tell who most (not all) of the starters should be without even seeing them. <sarcasm off>

When was the last time we went into a season without questioning who the starting QB is?
Let’s do the mental head count. 2015-2017 was clearly Rudolf. 2018 was a battle between CORNDOG and Sanders. 2019 was Sanders and Dru Brown. 2020-2022 was clearly Spencer. 2023 and 2024 was clearly Bowman.

So, 2024. Two seasons ago.

EDIT: I forgot 2023 between Bowman, Gunnar and Rangel. So, it wasn’t clearly bowman in 2023 but for sure in 2024.

Well Ill be. Felt longer than that.

Would have to go back to Sanders to see us going into a season comfortable with our established starting QB though. And I know some people will question Sanders but 100% of us would have loved to see a returning starter with his skillset the last couple of years. Im not trying to fawn over Sanders either, just feels nice to be sitting in April not worried about that position.

I just want an OL and a DL that can do their respective jobs, that is, protect the quarterback and open holes as needed, and stop the offense from making yardage.

Wish had not said that. Zwinkie is real and seems to like Stillwater.
