Rashod Owens love

I'm glad to see this posted.

Glad he's getting his targets and chance to play. OF ALL THE PEOPLE who
might be tempted to transfer, he's stayed in Stillwater despite being low in the depth chart, getting his position changed, then being moved back, and now he's finally getting his chance and taking it and running with it.

He had a bad drop early on, but then he absolutely made up for it when he climbed the ladder for that 1 handed catch. Bowman sailed that one & Owens bailed him out, cause I thought that was overthrown for a pick.
That felt like a game-winning play tbh. I think that play picked up our first 1st down of the game after getting the ball to start. Picking that up set the tone and allowed us to get 7 on our first drive. Without that play, the first drive is a 3-and-out, and I shudder to think what would have followed.

I don’t think it would’ve been a 3 & out; it looked like the OU DB would’ve had the easiest INT of his life. I think it would’ve been even more demoralizing than a 3 & out.

I've watched this about 30 times in various threads, just can't help myself. Not only does Ford go ass over teakettle, he ends up 5 yards downfield.

I almost feel bad for him - he's gone from a big time OSU recruit who made some great plays early in his career, giving his all before being reduced by injuries, a great Poke in the mold of Richetti Jones or XLK. Now he's an effing traitor whose greatest Poke highlight will forever be getting his a$$ flat run over by a tight end weighing about 30 lbs less than himself.

ALMOST feel bad, but I've gotten over it. Now, for the rest of my days on this earth, he'll be able to bring a smile to my face.

So, he's got that going for him.

I'll be giving thanks in a few weeks for him opening his mouth before the game.

Who looks 'petty' now?

Hah! Didn't realize I put this in the Roshod Owens thread! I've seen it in several other places, so I'll probably copy/paste in a more generic thread.

Roshod was a beast, and won the day. As others have said, his first grab may have totally changed our potential fortunes for the day, but we still couldn't have won the day without his outstanding performance all game long.
