Good. Very poor effort for the last four innings in a game we needed to win.

I’m as frustrated as anyone, but this is a bad take. Need to sweep this weekend and then win the next two conference series. Hosting is most likely out of the possibilities, so we better get resilient quick. Tough to win a regional at home, even tougher on the road.
 
And like mentioned before... We NEED Nolan back. Also really need Brown and Mendham to be what they are capable of down the stretch, those guys seem to be the wild cards imo. (I'm not mentioning the pitching staff because i don't even know where to start.....)

Unless McLean’s return (whenever that happens) lifts the other pitcher’s in the bullpen level of pitching, this team will go as far as their starting pitching takes them in the postseason. We have a good enough of a sample size to know the bullpen is not good enough to save games against teams with a pulse.

For the first time in a long time, I am not optimistic about the postseason in baseball. I hope the boys prove me wrong.

This team lost a ton of pitching to the draft/graduation. Sadly we didn’t replenish the talent. We have tried, but it just hasn’t worked out. Some of it is we have several freshman pitchers. Some of them have struggled especially Brennan Phillips.

Couple pitchers coming off TJ like benge and Hendry. Bogusz coming off offseason surgery and bringing him along slowly. McLean getting hurt along with Ryan Ure having TJ this season. JUCO Brant Hogue has been out with injury.

Ure and Bogusz were the ones I was really looking forward to seeing this year. Hopefully Bogusz is getting closer to 100% and can be a factor. His arm is desperately needed.
 
I'd like to see us play ORU in a full weekend series like we just did v ETSU instead of a series of midweek games. The midweek dynamic between the Big 12 and Summit is just so different. We shouldn't have lost so much to them these last several years, but I really think it would be different if we played a full 3 game weekend series, especially later in the season where both teams are playing for RPI boosts.
