I'll admit that during the chaos of that week, I perceived the BoR negatively, but over time my view has flipped 180°. It makes way more sense given all the info and context that they acted out of necessity, because the others involved wouldn't or couldn't. So the crux of our issue became inaction by our President and AD. We knew Gundy wouldn't act, but it was unknown how Shrum and Weiberg would handle this. Apparently they just...didn't....so the BoR acted, and almost gave them a vote of no confidence. Pretty concerning tbh...The meeting was scheduled on Tuesday. Everyone knew what the topic was so the assertion that someone didn’t get clued in until the last minute seems unlikely. The only way a coach that was en route turned back is if it was another DIII inexperienced guy that the BoR vetoed. But I think the real truth is that the Gundy camp (and possibly the Weiberg/Shrum camps) is gaslighting us and sadly a few of us fell for it. I do think as the smoke clears more and more people are realizing that the heroes in this story is the BoR.
