It is being reported Iran is currently signaling they are willing to let oil through the Straits but ONLY if the cargo trade is done in Chinese Currency...effectively removing the US Dollar from Global Energy Trade

I just question how the closing of the straight that supplies mostly Asia hurts the US more than China? Yes it hurts us some, but its not proportionate. Possibly China has a substantially higher tolerance for an energy crisis? That I can believe.

Right. It helps to be prepared. China is a lot more into green energy like wind and solar energy than the U. S. Come to think of it, China is also more advanced in electric car technology and sales. So far, I don't think the 100% tariff on Chinese cars here is helping Tesla and other U. S. EV sellers to catch up with China.
Iran is selling oil to China.
China is buying Iranian oil.
Russia is having sanctions eased and selling into a $100/bbl market.
European allies are turning more to China.
Israel is getting free pass to invade Lebanon.
Trump is getting hard no’s from key regional allies that check both China and Russia.
Trump is threatening to invade Cuba and do whatever he wants with it.
Americans already under price pressure see gas prices up $1 or more.
Where am I winning at any of this?
This is the worst administration in the history of the US.
