Hezbollah declares War on Israel after Pager/Walkie Talkie attacks

Hezbollah targets Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv

Hezbollah claimed the launch of a Qadir-1 ballistic missile targeting the Mossad intelligence agency's headquarters on the outskirts of Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning.

"It is the headquarters responsible for the assassination of leaders and the bombing of pagers and hand-held radios," the militant group said in a statement, referring to last week's communication device explosions in Lebanon and Syria.

Sirens sounded in Tel Aviv amid the attack. "One surface-to-surface missile was identified crossing from Lebanon and was intercepted," the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.

The IDF later said in a social media post that it destroyed the launcher from which the missile was fired in southern Lebanon.

The launch at Tel Aviv is the first time Hezbollah has attacked the city in central Israel since the war in the Gaza Strip began on Oct. 7.

Hezbollah confirms death of division commander

Hezbollah has confirmed the death of rocket and missile division commander Ibrahim Qubaisi in a post on their Telegram channel.

Hezbollah said he was killed in southern Lebanon.

Earlier Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces said an Israeli air attack in Da'ahia in Beirut killed Qubaisi.

Hezbollah fired over 300 projectiles on Tuesday

Hezbollah fired over 300 rockets, missiles and drones on Israel on Tuesday, injuring six soldiers and civilians in Israel, according to officials.

The group tried to fire many more strikes that were disrupted, according to IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

Israel said Hezbollah has many capabilities it knows about and is going after, now targeting the threats at the border, according to Hagari.

Hagari said Hezbollah has militarized southern Lebanon and placed missiles and rockets in thousands of homes.

Asked if Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah is a target, Hagari pointed to comments from IDF General Staff Rav Aluf Herzi Halevi, who previously said no one in Hezbollah is immune.

IDF in 3rd day of 'extensive strikes' in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday it was again "conducting extensive strikes in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa area" to the east of Beirut.

Almost 600 people -- including at least 50 children -- have been killed by Israeli strikes across Lebanon since Monday, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

Full-scale Israel-Hezbollah war 'wouldn't solve the problem,' Blinken says

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told "Good Morning America" on Wednesday that the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon "needs to be contained."

"We're working to make sure this doesn't get into a full-scale war," Blinken said. Asked if he believes such escalation can be prevented, Blinken responded: "I do."

"Israel has a legitimate problem it has to solve," Blinken said, noting Hezbollah's near-constant cross-border strikes since Oct. 8 and the subsequent evacuation of parts of northern Israel.

Blinken also acknowledged those fleeing their homes amid Israeli retaliation in southern Lebanon.

The "best way" to address Israel's problems in the north, Blinken continued, "is through diplomacy."

There were "a number of times" where full-scale war at the shared Israel-Lebanon border seemed imminent since Oct. 7, Blinken said. "Diplomacy by the United States prevented that from happening."

"But if there were to be a full-scale war, that wouldn't solve the problem."

President Joe Biden and his top administration officials say they are working hard to de-escalate the situation in Lebanon.

In a speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Biden condemned Hezbollah's "unprovoked" attacks into Israel since Oct. 8.

"Almost a year later, too many on each side of the Israeli-Lebanon border remain displaced," the president said.

"Full-scale war is not in anyone's interest," he added. "Even as the situation has escalated, a diplomatic solution is still possible. In fact, it remains the only path to lasting security to allow the residents from both countries to return to their homes on the border safely."

"That's what we're working tirelessly to achieve," Biden said.

Breaking news: Israel is preparing soldiers for a possible ground maneuver in Lebanon, IDF chief tells troops.

Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi told soldiers to prepare for a possible entry to Lebanon, where they would “go in, destroy the enemy there, and decisively destroy” Hezbollah’s infrastructure.

Israel-Hezbollah war: Netanyahu 'did not even respond' to US cease-fire deal, pledges to fight 'full force'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shut down reports of a cease-fire at the Israel-Lebanon border on Thursday, saying he "did not even respond" to the U.S. proposal.

Netanyahu vowed to continue fighting both in Gaza and against Hezbollah "with full force." The statement comes as Israel stands on the brink of all-out war with Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy terrorist group that operates in Lebanon.

The Commanding Officer of the IDF Home Front Command, MG Rafi Milo, said Israeli forces are currently engaged in "a very significant offensive effort."

"We have set a very, very clear goal. We want to change the security reality in the north fundamentally. So that we can bring the residents back home with security, with a sense of security, and truly change the security situation. This week we are in a very significant offensive effort, with strikes that are taking away a lot of [Hezbollah's] capabilities and resources," Milo said.

Israeli forces say they carried out 75 airstrikes within Lebanon overnight on Thursday, targeting Hezbollah terror cells and weapon caches.

Meanwhile, the IDF is also transferring large amounts of military power northward. The military released photos of tanks being mobilized toward the northern border.

IDF troops also conducted drills simulating "maneuvers in Lebanon" on Thursday, a potential indication of plans to invade.

"The exercise took place a few kilometers from the Lebanese border and trained the troops in maneuvering and combat in thicketed, mountainous terrain. During the exercise, the troops enhanced their operational and logistical readiness for various combat scenarios in enemy territory on the northern front," the IDF said in a statement.

Israel's conflict with Hezbollah has continued to escalate in recent weeks, with both sides exchanging dozens of missiles and rockets. Israel's attacks have been far more effective, however, as most of Hezbollah's missiles never reach their targets.

A massive bombardment from Israel earlier this week killed at least 560 over the course of two days, according to Lebanese officials. Israel says it targeted Hezbollah personnel, weapons and infrastructure with the strikes, but it has also said those targets have been purposely placed near civilians.

Israel deploys tanks near Lebanon in preparation for ground offensive

The Israeli Army has deployed additional tanks and armored vehicles along its northern border with Lebanon, signaling imminent preparations for a ground invasion. This follows Israel's directive to its military to be ready for a possible incursion into Lebanon, as it steps up its offensive against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

Top Israeli officials have warned that Lebanon could face the same fate as Gaza if Hezbollah continues its rocket attacks. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, speaking to soldiers, stated, "We are striking Hezbollah from the air and sea... and you must prepare for a ground assault".

Israel and Hezbollah have been engaged in open conflict since the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies on September 17 and 18, which were allegedly orchestrated by Israel. Since then, over 700 people, including women and children, have been killed in a week in Lebanon.

Israeli forces continued heavy aerial bombardments in Lebanon on Friday, raising fears of a Gaza-like scenario with widespread displacement and destruction. At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured in today's attacks. Over the past 72 hours, more than 30,000 people, primarily Syrians, have fled from Lebanon into Syria, according to a UN agency.

  • Point #
Israeli military vehicles were spotted transporting tanks and armored vehicles toward the northern border with Lebanon, as commanders issued a call-up for reserve forces, according to news agency AP. The army has also continued warning residents to evacuate homes it claims are near Hezbollah ammunition storage sites.
  • Point #
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to launch "full force" strikes against Hezbollah until the group ceases its rocket attacks across the border. Israel's "policy is clear," Netanyahu said. "We are continuing to strike Hezbollah with full force. And we will not stop until we achieve all our goals, chief among them the return of the residents of the north securely to their homes".

  • Point #
The United States, France, and other allies have jointly called for a 21-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Although Prime Minister Netanyahu initially rejected these peace efforts, he indicated on Friday that he is open to containment discussions, while emphasizing the need to continue targeting the Iran-backed militant group.

Meanwhile, Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis targeted Israel's cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon on Friday with a ballistic missile and a drone. In a televised speech, the group's leader Yahya Sarea said, "We will carry out more military operations against the Israeli enemy in victory for the blood of our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon".

Yemen's Houthis say they attacked Israel, US destroyers

(Reuters) -Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi militants said on Friday they had targeted the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon along with three U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea with missiles and drones in support of Gaza and Lebanon.

The Israeli army said it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen after sirens were heard.

The Houthis' military spokesperson said operations will not halt until Israel's offensives in Gaza and Lebanon stop.

The group attacked Tel Aviv with a ballistic missile and launched a drone towards Ashkelon in southern Israel, Yahya Sarea said.

"We will carry out more military operations against the Israeli enemy to triumph for the sake of our brothers' blood in Palestine and Lebanon," he added in a televised speech.

Sarea also said, in a separate televised speech, that the group had simultaneously targeted three U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea with 23 ballistic and winged missiles and a drone while the vessels were on their way to support Israel.

The U.S. military did not immediately respond to a request for comment

Israeli strikes have killed more than 600 people in Lebanon since Monday, with the conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah at its most intense in more than 18 years.

Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel for almost a year in support of allied Palestinian militant group Hamas, which is fighting Israel in Gaza.

IDF exposes fake social media profiles (many still active) that Hezbollah used to gather military intel

The IDF said on Wednesday that it had uncovered at least 17 fake social media profiles operated by the Hezbollah terror group in a plot to gather intelligence on the military.

The profiles, uncovered by the IDF’s Information Security Department, tried to trick soldiers into revealing sensitive information about their location in bases and troop locations, the military said.

The IDF said some of the profiles presented themselves as soldiers, and the Hezbollah operatives, using the fake profiles, would build personal relationships with troops over social media apps with messages, audio recordings, and video calls.

The profiles uncovered by the IDF were: tanya_ohayon_12, ilana.ed, zyzu744, noorr.levi, ohana.norit, nitzanlevi604, annadayan22, natali8karmi, nicole.pz_66, _vanessar.94_, shira._.151, eden_cohen_9, shirashitts, christinadss1256, galavivi7, avilevi_330, and eve_henry89.

The majority of the profiles were still active on Instagram as of Thursday evening.

The case was the latest instance of Israeli security forces uncovering plots by Iran and its proxies to gain Israeli intelligence or recruit unknowing Israelis via fake social media profiles.

Israeli security forces have also foiled similar attempts by Hamas to use fake social media platforms to gain intelligence on troop movements in Gaza in the last year or recruit Israelis to carry out tasks for the terrorist organization.

US warships under attack in Red Sea as 'barrage' of Houthi 23 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile and several Drones intercepted. Navy reports no damage

The US Navy has foiled an attack by Houthi on three warships transiting through the Red Sea, according to reports.

Houthi rebels said on Friday their "largest naval operation" sought to stop the US guided-missile destroyers en route to Israel.

The Yemen-based militant group claimed to have struck one of the vessels, though this has been denied by military officials.

Oren Liebermann, CNN's Pentagon correspondent, said on X: "Though the Houthis claim to have hit the US warships, the US defense officials say all of the launches were either intercepted or missed, and there was no damage to any ships or injuries to crew members."

Twenty three ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones were fired by Houthi.
